Astro Bot is so dope and spirited, it's almost unreal this is on a sony console. this game feels like a 4th generation game by spirit, it captures the essence of those era's games from the snes & genesis. i've been gaming since late nes era and i miss those vibes. as much as i love sony even more than nintendo & sega but their games don't feel as spirited and goodfeel as ninty's & sega's earlier games do cuz sony takes a more serious mature approach to their games since they want to seperate themselves from others and be different. only games of their's that felt like that snes, n64, genesis, dc era vibes are the crash original trilogy, spyro original trilogy, ape escape 1, jak n daxter and littlebigplanet, those games had that same energy those console's games had. but it's been a long time since sony had another one of those type of games so it's nice that astro bot brought it back. can't wait for the sequel especially since it's gonna be a full blown out game this time around and not just a demo, im expecting it to be even greater than the first. P.S. i also loved the rich lore and history of playstation consoles, videogame series n characters too, nice throwback to all of that 👌.

This game was absolutely incredible for a number of reasons. As a kid I never really stuck with one console type, so I have had various different consoles and handheld made by all the different companies. Ds, 360, Ps1, ps2, ps3, Xbox one, etc. But no matter what it was, it seems like playstations were always the ones that kept me entertained the longest. Astrobot is also the very first example of a game I actually wanted to 100% complete. I've never actually gotten every trophy in a video game simply because it never seemed worth it and I wanted to get on with another game once I had finished a story. Astrobot is the only game I have ever gotten a platinum trophy on simply because it was so encouraging through gameplay alone to want to do and experience absolutely everything. The game was a magical experience and brought me right back to my happiest of memories. I'm looking forward to everything that sony has planned for this console in the future! Here's hoping.

I can't Believe you would accuse me of lying about owning my beloved PocketStation, which I played constantly! There were so many PocketMotion classics, like Anyway, loved this video! I had a strong nostalgic reaction to this and had to go make sure I wasn't alone. My first reaction was this "oh wow, what a corporate piece of garbage," thinking all the intensely realistic models of PlayStation history were trying to sell me more stuff after I'd already mortgaged my house to pay for a PS5. But seeing the backdrop to the PS4 (and then the PS2 and the classic PS1 startup noise) quickly changed my mind. Astro's such a genuinely good game and celebration of nostalgia that it's hard for me not to include its value as a game in the purchase, this is something that could easily have been greedily shilled to PlayStation loyalists for $40 or more or a demo with the rest locked behind a paywall, but whoever made the call must still have a soul and a desire to share their enthusiasm for this console and its forebears with players.

The HD Rumble of Okami on Switch really sold me on haptics as part of how you play, and although I still hold that split controllers (be it joycon or any of the VR controllers) is a more natural way to feel it it's still pretty nice on a console basis (you should play Okami in handheld mode for that touch screen, and honestly you should play Okami on Switch for it) or just a controller like in Astro. I understand the motors are slightly better on PS5, but honestly I haven't felt a distinct difference yet, they're both such a step up from old rumble it's hard to feel the much more minor different between the two... just gotta hope that now 2 controller have it more developers actually make use of the feature. Also, man the PSP Go had such an incredible form factor, if the PS Vita was that shape I'd have played it way more... Christ if the PSP was that shape I'd've probably played it way more, but coming out right at the end of the console's life when second hand copies was the most cost effective way to buy games was such a bad move, if the machine wasn't bargain binned so quick I doubt I'd've even bought the PSP Go, but being so cheap I could afford to pay a bit extra for the games I wanted... and just what a lovely little machine it was to hold.

That shot of the PSPGo made me a little sad. For all its failures as a commercial product, it was actually a very neat and capable system and remains my preferred way to play PSP games... though I must admit that's largely because it was so easy to hack and mod. Still, it was ahead of its time, allowing you to save your gaming states indefinitely (I remember picking it up after it had completely drained of battery and reset, but it still had me right where I left off in Disgaea four years prior), and had an awesome formfactor that made it supremely pocketable, something that no other portable console could match to this day (not even the original DS was this damn portable). Its screen was also better than standard PSPs due to its higher pixel density and superior contrast. I seriously loved that little beast... too bad it was doomed to fail due to bad business decisions, something the Vita would also suffer from.

The haptic feedback in the Dual Sense is the same, if not slightly worse, than in the Joy-Cons and the Switch Pro Controller. Sure, Astro's Playroom makes pretty good use of it, but that doesn't make the tech any more novel.

It's cool how much Playstation memorabilia there is in this game! To bad you, you know, can't actually play any of those old Playstation games on ps5...

Actually it's possible but only digitally to buy them as I searched to see what classics are available, there is some handful of them that got a remastered graphics or stayed the same. So some games are lucky to get ported into the PS5.

This whole game is a paradox of existence. Sony wants to celebrate its history, but won't let us actually play those classic games on our new Playstation. I do hope this game gets a full-length sequel. Full levels based on Playstation history, not just these collectibles.

The VR Astro game is the best platformer of the generation and I'm including Mario Odyssey in that. It's an utterly sublime experience

This video is making me really sad as I know I won’t be able to get my hands on a ps5 until summer, god Sony puts so much work into their consoles
