Yeah Happy Ending doesn't matter when we talk about supernatural masterpiece like aot which as realistic as ever. It had everything from poltics to war, jokes to seriousness, too much dumb,dumb and badass character supported by good and believable backstory. Only Naruto is ahead in terms of backstory. It has element of love angle ,hate, genuine feeling, simping and many more. Even fights are not overhyped.

Battle of shiganshina is legendary, no one wants it to be ruined by cgi titans. More time = less cgi even no cgi, have you seen the backlash for ep 6 concerning the cgi ? And let’s be honest, the cgi in ep 6 was a complete mess. And to be fair, the best cliffhanger would’ve been chapter 119 ( + marketing wise the manga sales would explode) but chapter 116 ain’t that bad.. We started the season with Reiner dropping from the sky and we are ending it with Reiner dropping from the sky lol

Ngl, For Eren's character arc and for the ending Mikasa is very important. Everytime there's a major shift in the story and something major happens to Eren it's related to Mikasa and we definitely get her inner monologue...the first time eren kills people, it's Mikasa's kidnappers(I still find this scene wierd, how did he find the cabins Nd prepare the weapon in such a short amount of time,I feel something happened to Eren here which will be revealed ..he's never been this efficient at fighting or this smart after this scene....he's just been normal), the first time he transforms into a titan, the first time he uses the coordinate powers without his own knowing, the first time he unleashes the rumbling Ch 123 is also Mikasa focussed. There cannot be an ending without these two meeting and just having a proper talk.

You're absolutely spot on. The story requires their main confrontation after chapter 112 where finally things can be cleared up. And the scarf has had so much emphasis that it is all building up towards a big moment between both of them. "SEE YOU LATER, EREN" is literally the first scene of the manga, talk about how significant it might be.

There is no such thing as a "perfect" ending, as everyone has their own version as to how they want a story to end, AOT is no exception. There will be people who will be unsatisfied, and will likely make a mountain over a Mole hill as a result. Making an ending is tougher than it looks, especially if your story has been going smoothly for a long time, as you need to deliver a satisfying ending to all or most audiences watching at a nice pacing whilst tying up all loose knots. I don't blame Isayama for trying to make the "perfect" ending and will not blame him if he can't accomplish a good ending. But I will justify and defend his actions and decisions to the audience who do hate the ending because they are the people who sat down, did nothing but make demands for how they want their version of AOT to end to the one who is writing his story and should have the right to decide how he wants to end it.

When Connie suddenly becomes the main character, deus ex machina happens every 5 pages, the avengers assemble from two opposing sides without any problems, with all those cheap "wow, Armin just jumped in Connie's mother's mouth, I wonder if he'll die. Oh wow, Connie saved him. Yaay". I wonder if Isayma planned for a different ending where the rumbling would just win immediately. Like, everything up to the rumbling seems very well written, but after it it's just... meh. "Look, Falco's titan can fly. Look, Annie's titan can somehow get other titans' abilities. Look, Eren has the power of resurrecting other titan shifters. Look, people in the paths aren't dead. Look, we can talk them into helping us with the power of friendship and the most basic philosophy of 'the purpose of life is to enjoy it'." Like, come on. Any risky ending, controversial or debatable, would be more interesting and enjoyable. And Isayama still went with the most basic stuff ever. The only thing he could have done worth is to have Armin use talk no jutsu on Yeager... oh wait.

*My theory* In AoT chapter 122, it is shown that this creature is responsible for the first Founding Titan. This organism is very similar to Hallucigenia. Hallucigenia are the connecting links between Platyhelminthes and Arthropoda, they extincted 505 million years ago but in the world of AoT, they do exist and they are nearly 45cm in length but in reality they were maximum 30mm of length which means in AoT, they are evolved very well with time period. In the world of AoT, it was the last Hallucigenia in the world which came in contact with Ymir Fritz, this is because it wanted to multiply and stay alive because according to Theory of Natural Selection of Charles Darwin, every organism in this world wants to live and multiply. Hallucigenia is connecting link between Platyhelminthes and Arthropoda that's why it has characteristics of both phyla. Most of Platyhelminthes are endoparasites. Imma put this theory here so the internet has a record of if I'm right: The last panel is Grisha holding newborn Eren, Eren has actualy been stuck in a time loop where if he makes the wrong choices he has to transfer the memory of that failure to his past self. This is why he has done the rumbling - Avengers Endgame style this is ultimitley the only way to a happy ending where he can be free, likely by killing the parasyte to end the titan curse, he can then free himself/Ymir and sever the line allowing people to become titans, but he does that at the point between Grisha and himself, leading to the curse being broken in an alternate past where not only do titans just one day "stop", but all those who died due to tians throughout the series are reborn and can live happy lives as if they never had to face titans. Eren explains this to Mikasa and friends thus the first panel "see you later" will be just before the moment of "reset". That's why Eren wakes up thinking mikasa had short hair - he remembers her from the first timeline, waking up one day to feel like he had a "really long dream". The narrator wasn't armin, its grisha, because now as the last attack titan he is the only one on earth who knows the show's timeline ever happened, remembering a future of the curse-resolving branch of time. Eren is free, and they can all grow up and live full, happy lives. Its possible that the curse was broken earlier than Grisha and all of human history went diffrently, though everyone is reborn because their souls were in limbo in the titan world/Isayama believes in souls and predestination.

Historia's baby is Yrmir, and is what allows Eren to use the founding titan's power that one last time to sever the curse (he needs the royal blood connection now that Zeke is dead). There could be tons of foreshadowing to this ending - from Mikasa's dream of another life and Mirror Man in the OVA, to Eren Kruger saying the cycle will only repeat if Grisha doesn't start a new family, to Eren communicating with past Grisha (it was him along) showing he can effect the past.

The story cannot end without Eren/ Mikasa reunion. This was already spoiled way back in Ch 1. And if you hear the reading of that Ch by the voice actors, Mikasa sounds very confident when she says "see you later eren". Mikasa's character arc has developed quite a lot, with her struggle with dealing with loss which was always a reason for her inability to be emotionally vulnerable even with her closest people, coming to terms that her will & power is her own and having the strength to show love inspite of everything....but Eren's character arc has been at such a halt, chasing after the concept of freedom has rendered him chained to a race where he can't do anythIng but move forward and destroy himself in the process. It will be a great ending if everything ties up to what was spoiled in Ch 1.

I have a short theory about Eren's titan, chap 137, and Eren himself. [Skip this line if you wish] Recently, Eren has earned his 3rd titan power, which would be the Warhammer titan. However, this ability allows him not only to make him able to create weapons from hardened skin but allows him to not necessarily be inside the nape. That changes everything. What if Eren WASN'T in the nape of his founding titan? This could be a possibility after being decapitated and transformed with that long worm centipede thing making his body travel down the titan and possibly into the ground. We haven't seen the ground in the chapter, that could be hiding a secret. He could be hiding inside his crystal under the ground, and that flesh or bone cord in this matter is still attached to his titan. The rumbling stopped because Zeke was killed. He was powering the founding titan because of this royal blood. But this is a dangerous matter because other royal-blooded citizens that visit him (Eren) (maybe) could re-activate it. This is just a theory, I apologize if this sounds like pure bullshit lol edit: just fixed a few grammar mistakes

Ok. So the 1st chapter's name is "To you, 2000 years from now." If you calculate the years from ymir getting the titan powers to day king fritz (145th king) build the wall you would get 145×13(Assuming the kings lived 13 years)=1885 years. The wall was breached 105 years later. So add that, we would get 1990. Add 9 years (Its been 9 years since the wall was breached) you get 1999 years. So i think ymir/eldians will finally be free when a year will have passed since rumbilng. That would make 2000 years.

My theory is the moment Zeke caught Eren's head everything that has happened up to now was a vision Eren gave the entire world of what would have happened if the Rumbling happened. The moment Eren is blown up the vision will end and everyone will wake up to the moment Gabi shot off Eren's head. Once this happens Eren will speak to Mikasa and Armin in the titan world and explain to them that everything was to give the world a second chance. Eren and Ymir will tell them that the Centipede is still trying to reconnect with Eren's head in the real world and this is their only chance to kill it and end all the titans forever. However when the centipede is killed Eren will die. Mikasa will sever the centipede and will wrap her scarf around Eren. Theo Magath will call off the assault on Paradis and the walls around Paradis will slowly break apart bow that there aren't any titans to hold them up. I think this will happen because Magath and multiple other characters have wished for a chance to go back and change what they did in the face of the Rumbling. Now the world will step back from war. Armin will hold Historia's child and tell the baby that its free. Free of a world from titans and war.
