Noone, talked about the flooding in Africa but they all were asking where the rain went. The indian ocean has these conditions which sometimes affect the monsoon here like the el nino. I have never heard of the indian ocean dipole. Is it a new name for an already existing phenomenon or something that existed all this long but i never heard about it? Whatever be it be.. climate change is real. We have seen it here in India too as well as in other places. We need capable and new leaders who can manage the changing times. We need a global perspective. We should be able to control it. Otherwise, whats the use of all the technological advances we have made this far??

1. Can you tell me the reason why East Africa is flooding? 2. Tell me is Climate Change and human made phenomenon or just another loop in Earth's cycle?
@seaweed50645 жыл бұрын
ZFG Jerky its a human phenomenon in the form ur referring to which is the global warming of present times directly correlating to the industrial boom of humanity as said in multiple studies including one from NASA showing this. The first people to discover this correlation were scientists working for oil companies. They literally have no motive to prove climate change is caused by humans rather probably wanting to disprove this as not to scare their employers. While climate change has occurred in the past i.e. ice ages increases in different gases in the atmosphere, and some of these resulting in mass extinction, none of these events happened as quickly or suddenly as the rise in temperature since the start of the industrial area suggesting it was caused by human activity. So no this is not another “loop” in the climates natural cycle rather it’s an extremely sudden change ushered in by humans.
@beef-jerky5 жыл бұрын
@@seaweed5064 Nope, the Earth is a constant cycle, it's been shown in Paleoclimatology, right before the Earth eclipsed into it's two ice ages the base temperature of the planet hit a high point, it happened twice and it's happening for the third time in Earth's history, this cycle is being sped up by maybe decades by China's overpollution of the planet, that's right not America like every other News Outlet says, it's China with their Sweatshops, unrestricted exploitation of natural resources, the dumping of garbage into the rivers, and the erosion of the land to over farming.
@seaweed50645 жыл бұрын
ZFG Jerky yes I acknowledge the earths climate changes gradually (by our scale) about it being a constant cycle I don not know but I will have to research more so for now, I will take ur word for it. And you have acknowledged climate change is being sped up by human activity (ur sentiments about china i am unsure about) so I feel like we’re generally in agreement
@ccgarciab5 жыл бұрын
The scientific consensus is that the current trend in climate change is anthropogenic in its origin. You can easily find the surveys by googling. Not only that but it has been clear for much longer than that this new trend is much faster than climate variations in the past. Now, why should I listen to some guy in youtube comments and not to the scientific consensus.

Cloud formation and cloud lifetimes will surely be affected -- but where and with what impacts for people? There may be an impact on parts of Antarctica if black carbon (soot) is deposited. Maybe some fertilization effect if deposition is over parts of the ocean that are poor in nutrients. I'm sure there will be other effects that are less obvious.

*The IOD involves an aperiodic oscillation of sea-surface temperatures (SST), between "positive", "neutral" and "negative" phases. A positive phase sees greater-than-average sea-surface temperatures and greater precipitation in the western Indian Ocean region,[dubious - discuss] with a corresponding cooling of waters in the eastern Indian Ocean-which tends to cause droughts in adjacent land areas of Indonesia and Australia. The negative phase of the IOD brings about the opposite conditions, with warmer water and greater precipitation in the eastern Indian Ocean, and cooler and drier conditions in the west*

Another main reason why Australia keeps having these fires is that they do not conduct "Controlled Burns", instead they allow brush and dead branches to pile up. So until controlled brush fires are conducted Australia will keep having these wildfires.

The reason this fire season is so awful is because environmentalists have blocked controlled burns that would have prevented wildfires from spreading too much.

@@puhddles3981 Yes it does. Principle is the same as why its not a good idea to make big apartment buildings out of wood or other flammable materials. The more flammable materials you have, the bigger and uncontrollable the fire. @@hemasingh8033 the funniest thing is that more people have died and are affected by the african floods that have hit coastal areas, where a lot of african countries majority population reside, than the Australian forests, where most harm is to the environment and wildlife. sad to see the average person cares more about one than the other, but to be fair africa has become synonymous with grief, so people probably stopped having hope for it and expect it to be going thru it all the time, so feel less needed to pray.
