Yooo this is an awesome concept. Ashikai is a brilliant creator in the sphere and its super sick to see this kind of collaboration!

It is so brave to say that you love the Sumeru desert the best (from what I've heard from other fans), but I feel the exact same way. I thought it was so much fun, the lore drops were indeed very juicy, and Hypostyle Desert was the first area I got 100% on since the 2.0 regions.
@slytherinlady3907 Жыл бұрын
the desert is everything to me, 100% explored the second i got my hands on the compass, maybe it’s just because i love the desert irl but it’s so relaxing and pretty to be in
@worm2976 Жыл бұрын
The desert is absolutely gorgeous and DRENCHED in lore, which truly feels like it spans across history in a real-world-like way with the vassal kings and the sand-buried remains of cities. The music is straight fire, there's intrigue, and all the architecture being massive compared to the rest of teyvat just feels like echoes of Nabu/Deshret's glory
@arraine Жыл бұрын
@@worm2976 I completely agree with all of the above! Plus, to be perfectly honest, those underground temple puzzles were actually a total blast for me.

its because the desert doesnt have eye candy for people’s attention, it has actually good stuff that need you to work for it, so many hidden stuff that takes effort to find
@arraine Жыл бұрын
@@0xVENx0 Maybe that's why I liked it so much! I wasn't completely overwhelmed with super-dense visual information.

Hoyo really likes to torture kids. Typically they just throw quick lore bits about children just losing their parents in tragic events and being left as an orphan. But this was probably the first we witnessed a full backstory from start to finish and it really hit home. I felt so sad watching her grow up fast every step of the way and seeing how she coped/accepted it. I personally don't think she'll appear again but I will cry tears of joy if she does.

Jeht is heard last in a lost document near the entrance for the final desert part, it says she got a group of mercenaries of her own and is relentlessy trying to find Masseira so that she can avenge falcon in our name, but even so she still helps those who needs in the way, like the researcher that dropped the document itself.
@megglesloveswater6 ай бұрын
I really think that we will get Jeht as a playable character, likely with a cryo vision. Jeht has essentially been forced to embrace being an outcast/not truly belonging to any group. I expect that she will receive her vision not long into her journey after parting with the traveler. She is definitely passionate enough, has a goal in mind, and has experienced multiple moments of extreme personal growth/change. In terms of real world motivation, the fan base is certain in favor of her enough to warrant playable character creation. (From my very much not lore expert point of view).

Wow, so much interesting stuff that Ashikai mentions, I've learned a lot! Also, I'd agree that for those who love temples and exploring ancient stuff, the desert was such an amazing region for that! Oh, how I miss the older Tomb Raider level designs!

This was really great but so short! I get not wanting to make the podcast like 3 hours long like certain other podcasts online, but still, 10 min just didn't feel like it was enough to dive deep into any topics covered which is a shame, as what was there was great, and the game and community have so much stuff you can dive into, people legitimately could talk about one topic for a full hour. Maybe you can find a middle ground thats more like 20-30 min or so? If its an issue of running out of stuff to talk about, maybe plan out a few topics/questions in advance and try to dig deeper into them. Maybe let the guest know the topics so they can prep a bit too. Im sure Ashikai could talk about this stuff really deep if they had it fresh in their memory or had written down some notes to talk about. Overall great, but just please more!

Where did we get the information that Babel slept with her employers? I didn’t get that at all, and Genshin isn’t always transparent with that kind of information. Can anyone get me up to speed?
