my dad works for one of the top 4 investent banks in the USA. He is quite high up (same level as director level). He said last week a couple of of the guys from the FEDs came in to his office and had 1.5 hrs meeting with his boss (and others at similar level). His boss told him that they are looking at 2 cuts in 2024 both will be done in the fall/winter to keep the market up. Quoting from his boss "if Market is down their partners will feel poorer, and thats more dangerous than average joe loosing their job, because if the wealthy stops spending/investing the economy will stall"

@@samuel9607 They were not trading, you stu p1d , they were having a meeting. You clearly dont work in the office, especially in finance. I work as a junior accountant in one of the auditor form in SF and my boss sometime have have "quick chat" and make decision with his boss and other colleagues in similar positions to discuss matter in the company. No recording, no electronics nor any minutes. Once its formalise that is when they go out with the whole "proffesional approach". You have no idea whats been talked behind closed door. Keep watching and trust your regular news on TV

@@samuel9607 also do you think these people knows more than you and have rystal ball to look into the future? THEY DONT. Yes they have data presnted for them but they make the decision from those and their expereince. They get paid a lot of money to call out !big decision" and hopefully the call is he correct one. But in the end they are just like you and I; Like Pussies (if they are straight), drugs and alcohol
