base 12 also works much better with music as there are 12 semitones in an octave. you can represent notes as numbers and play all over the fret-board in any key simply by adding

This make sense in imperial but what about metric
@YamamotoTV20212 жыл бұрын
Here is how the metric system would work in dozenal: Larger than a meter: 1 meter = 1 meter (of course) 1 unquameter = 12 meters ≈ 39.37 feet 1 biquameter = 144 meters ≈ 472.441 feet 1 triquameter = 1728 meters ≈ around 7.37% longer than a mile Smaller than a meter: 1 unciameter = 1/12 of a meter ≈ 8.3333 cm ≈ 3.28 inches 1 biciameter = 1/144 of a meter ≈ 0.006944 cm ≈ 0.2734 inches 1 triciameter = 1/1728 of a meter ≈ 0.05787 cm (about half a millimeter; not worth converting to inches)

I prefer Base Twelve numerology to Base Ten Numerology but also use this. I use also Base Thirty Numerology {{{{{{Aih'Yah = 10[30] when figured out in Base 12. - Aih'Yah is the name of the Ultimate DAity … 1M in Base 30 = 44{12} = 52(10) and 52 is a very important number}}}}}} and found some significant coincidences. It is very difficult to work with more than two bases so most of my work is in Base Dozenal and comparing with Base Ten. Of course, Base Eight and base Six are important, but it is extremely difficult to do much work in all these Bases along with Base Dozenal and Base Ten. 10{12} = Do, 11{12} = Do one, and so on.

so we should simply get completely new symbols for base 12 numerals ... that way we can learn both numerals without getting confused
@Persun_McPersonson Жыл бұрын
There's no reason to learn both, that would just be a hindrance. It's better to switch to base twelve entirely.
@dara_1989 Жыл бұрын
@@Persun_McPersonson yes , no need to learn both ... new symbols r simply needed to stop confusing d two while learning n using ... same goes for hexa deci system , currently in use 👍

The best base is 10 and base 11 is the worst and I think almost everyone would agree. With Base 10 I don't mean decimal.

Base 6 is better than base 12. It handles fifths and sevenths better, and it is ridiculously easy to do arithmetic with. But, 12 is still better than 10. There are always tradeoffs, and to me, the length problem of 6 is the least of evils between 10's unfriendliness with 3s and 12's unfriendliness with 5s and 7s
@Persun_McPersonson Жыл бұрын
Yeah, but the numbers get long way too quickly, so in my opinion they're equally as good as each other but for different reasons. I'd still prefer dozenal but I wouldn't be opposed to seximal as it would still be better than decimal.
@YourAverageLink Жыл бұрын
@@Persun_McPersonson that's fair. You could compress with base 36 or use scientific notation if need be, to be fair.

In dozenal, the golden ratio is a perfect 1.75 when N = one dozen. The golden ratio is fundamental to all of nature, so something this perfect can't be ignored. There are dozens of advantages to base 12; pun intended.
@EGMusic124 жыл бұрын
Nope, that’s wrong. It’s very close though. It’s about 1.74EE6772802X46X6X18653... It and any other irrational number like pi and the square root of 2 will be irrational in any base.
