Love being able to do this weekly. I am learning soooo much about God’s love. I actually never really thought of it like this today. People say “well you are beautiful on the inside and that’s all that matters.” And yes, I knew they were right, but I never really enjoyed hearing it, and I continued to strive for beauty. I went a lot on fad diets and starving myself and doing extreme exercise. I never got where I wanted and honestly in the end each time I just found myself eating potato chips and pizza while sipping on some root beer. But today I realized something. My beauty isn’t on the outside. And for once I was okay with that. Like it clicked. BEAUTY FADES. The fact that it’s first off unattainable to be perfect, and the fact that beauty doesn’t last. I finally see that beauty is from the inside and that is how God intended it. The Bible verses presented today were soooo helpful in helping me see myself how God sees me. Honey.....it isn't just young women.....older women go through it too. We look in the mirror and realize that we loved the way that we used to look even though we hated how we looked back then...and realize that we would give anything to have our looks back. We look at gray hairs here and there....hairs that pop up in places where they don't belong and balding spaces that we try to hide on our scalps. So, it is not just young girls....it is a lifetime of body bashing. Keep up the good work. Hopefully, you will catch young people early! God bless you both! This was so great! It's really encouraged me and helped me so much already! This is definitely going to be a lie that I'm going to have to really make the effort to battle because sadly, and I think it might be the same for lots of us, it's pretty deeply ingrained in me. I am so glad that the word says that "man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart ". God is clearly saying, it is the heart, your personality, how you treat people, how you love, how you give, etc. If you we're to really ask anyone, what is beautiful, no one could tell you. The world has clearly said that you have to look a certain way to be considered beautiful, but the word of God says otherwise. Being beautiful has nothing to do with what you look like, it is all about the heart and that we are made in the image of God, which is his spirit, now that is beautiful!!

I believe there is nothing wrong with improving something that needs work. I know for myself that it makes me feel better and less insecure. I know that may sound selfish but I like myself and there's nothing wrong with loving yourself. God is love after all and he knows and sees all things. I'd like to think God is ok with me spending some time taking care of me. It's all in perspective and time spent on you and in God's word go hand in hand.
