Assuming both earn several millions per year (rumored is 3mil/year for both, with a raise to 4-5mil for SR after his recent re-signing), i.e. more than an average employee earns in a lifetime, they "should" have made enough to retire if they wanted so. The becky return is gonna be huge because we'll have had that break from her on TV. But I also want to acknowledge something about AEW, anyone noticed they are very much on the side of things that WWF was when bischoff was running WCW? They came in hot as the alternative product giving people what WWE wasn't, and doing it on a much smaller scale and budget and audience.. got major attention around the world and made significant deals for viewership possibilities, hijacked a bunch of talent from the 3 other major companies, had a major downspiral and almost got ran out of business, and now against all odds are seemingly climbing back out of the hole they dug... except the difference here being in that timeframe, WWE used their new TKO powers to jump out of range of AEW.

If anyone is entitled to some time off, it's Becky. Other than her maternity leave, neither she nor Seth have been off for any significant time in years. WWE seems to have identified Lyra Valkyria as a suitable replacement while Becky is gone. Lyra is solid enough in the ring, but needs to work on her mic skills a bit. The problem short term (meaning unti Rhea returns0 is that Raw is lacking challengers to Liv. Lyra is a possibility, but no one else seems to be at the main event level on Raw.

The timing is just right. Seth is out, her contract is almost up, and thus it's the perfect time to take a leave to have time with her family. It's why they should have an off season, so that their main event stars can take some time off, and they can build up new stars (which IMO has always been WWE's weak point in relying too much on older, nostalgia acts instead of pushing the next generation). I doubt she will jump ship, unless there is some kind of Forbidden Door type deal to have a 1 off with her and Mercedes. But that's a pipe dream for now, she deserves the break.

Becky Lynch is taking time off to rest up and recover. She's been going nonstop since she returned from the return of her daughter. It's also the summertime it's the perfect time for her to take time off and be a mother while promoting her book. But she and Seth have busted their asses in the WWE and deserve this long-time break. This is also the perfect time for WWE to show that they don't need the Four Horsewomen to be involved in everything. Becky is going to take 6 months off, she might even take a year but she'll be back in the WWE when she is ready. If anything thinks she will be "ALL Elite' they're just fooling themselves. They might contract or offer her more but she knows where her loyalties are. She's earned this time off and I hope she enjoys it.

Leaving only in the sense that she's not renewing her contract. But there's no doubt that she has a home in WWE and they will offer a new one whenever she asks. While she could go to AEW - AEW offering a reduced work schedule and the opportunity to build up a division - WWE would almost certainly let her do the former if she asked and the latter, well... that's a challenge that involves more than just needing more talent. In probably is just a matter of coincidental timing - her contract is up and she wants some time off. There's very little point in either side signing a contract in that case because she wouldn't be doing anything and the time would get tacked onat the end anyway so... and money wise, between her and Seth, they're fine so no need to sign up for meet and greets, etc.

Thing is, if she wanted to work a limitted schedule, she certainly could even in WWE; look at Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns who both had/have a predetermined amount of dates to work, with the cash flowing non-stop (and, in both cases, still significantly more than what "full-timers" earn). So, no. Either, she wants "out" of the company, or out of the business altogether (the more likely option of those 2). "Time off"-thoughts are extremely naive since she's in a position that pretty much grant her the option to do so whenever she wants.

I think it's likely Becky Lynch will have another kid, and probably not return to wrestling. She and her husband have amassed millions of dollars and acquiring more money has no practical side to it. Becky is relatively free from ring injuries, spent a decade at the top and is still at the top, and is one of the biggest and most beloved superstars of WWE. Disagreed. The women's division in AEW is going strong these days. Some more exposure, especially for the "midcarders", would be great, but overall, the direction it's heading is perfectly fine. [I think the cancellation of Dark, Dark Elevation hurt massively there. Those shows were ideal proving grounds for midcarders, and especially little-featured female talents could present themselves there in a frequent fashion] What's more bothersome is the handling of the men's there - over 100 athletes of whom easily 50-60 would be main eventers in smaller places, yet who only get screen time once in a blue moon, just to be forgotten that they even exist. Instead, it feels like the same faces are on every single show over and over and over again (Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, the Elite, Chris Jericho, Hook; and while i get it that Ospreay is a major draw and thus "has to" be used much, and Swerve happens to be the heavyweight champ, that can't be said abt the others).
