What would you suggest an artist who constantly gets rejected should do? What if they go 3 to 4 years with only L's?

Rejection is the name of the game. Unfortunately, there's a high chance you will be rejected for multiple years. There is a point where you have to evaluate your current craft. Educate yourself by getting mentorship or other online course. I found once I got an online course on mixing, my music future changed. Mixers were better, tracks were being done quicker. If you're 3-4 years in, can't give up now?

As an independent artist, do you need to register both a record label AND a publishing company (assuming you intend to the the only artist signed to it) or can you register one company that functions as both?
