With the Deep ball we got a chance to connected in a high percentage with lagway plus we got a chance of picking up a penalty use the Deep ball and clear out the defense I agree with your comments as I said on all channels we need an aggressive offensive coordinator who has the ability to count to 11 and also has great time management skills especially in the The Haves the late halves of ball games

The problem is if you bring in an OC then the offense gets set back trying to learn a new offense and terminology. If the offense and terminology stay the same then why hire a new OC? We’re stuck because Napier wasn’t told from the start he had to hire an OC. Personally I don’t have a problem with our offense the way it is but we do need a quarterback coach to help Lagway learn how to make all the throws. As it is it’s like having a pitcher that can only throw a fast ball.

Napier has good qualities but they're going to be all run down the river if he doesn't get a good offensive coordinator he can learn from that offensive coordinator and then maybe down the road he can make good calls for now he needs to get out of his own way and quit using his hard head to determine where Florida goes

I’d like to see an oc hired if for no other reason than to have a play caller in the booth. It is impossible to get the total picture of what is going on from play to play at field level. Other than that I like the scheme that we have under Billy. It’s not flashy, but it is effective. In a world where everyone is trying to be cute and finesse things, an offense like we have wears out a defense and makes us stronger deep into games. The biggest problem we had early in this past season was an offensive line that had not had a chance to gel. I like that the offense is vanilla and still effective, it gives lots of chances for a small wrinkles

All great critiques of offense. Miami’s defense looked elite in the beginning solely because we were so predictable and their DC literally said as much in post game interview. Having 8 months to prepare for us made it too easy.
@LALMCGatorsfan2 күн бұрын
For anyone who doesn't understand the levels concept it's simple it really doesn't matter what route you run as long as you have 3 receivers on the same side one goes low, one goes high and the other is in the middle, 9 times out of 10 you're going to get someone wide open and 8 out of 10 its will be the middle man. Kyle Pitts ran this route a lot at Florida.

First, I love your passion. You bleed orange/blue like many of us die-hard fans, and we do see and appreciate it. I have not always agreed with all of your takes on Billy, but have been 100% on board with the need for an OC. I just do not get it - there is no way all of them (including Billy) does not see the advantage an experienced/successful OC brings to the table. I usually do not agree with boosters getting in the way and trying to run the team - however, in this case, I think I would welcome the pressure. It's time to the real money backers to put the pressure on to do the right thing.

Georgia Tech is the team that picked up an old Oklahoma back door pitch play, Georgia Tech used to be a triple option team and I don't mean back in the 90s I mean they were one of only 5 teams that still ran triple option. One play that was almost impossible to defend with the back door pitch, the play starts as a normal read with the H back, the next read is the escape route for the QB if he doesn't hand off, now once he can't just jet up the middle he pulls to the right side with the T back once again the QB reads the linebacker now he can pitch to the running back or turn up and now comes the part that makes this play so hard to defend as the defense moves right cutting off the option the Wideout now moves left as QB pitches to the wideout going left if the Offensive line has closed the edge it will be a huge play and most times when Georgia Tech ran the play it scored a Touchdown. Why this play works so well is the entire defense has moved right with no one home on the left most of the time, Playing zone against Georgia Tech back then was a death sentence. Most teams were in man defense so they could follow the QB and Running back.

People keep pointing at the offense and yes times the play calls are too predictable. All hitches should never be a play call. He also doesn't run levels concept. This was one of Dan Mullen favorite plays it leaves the defense stuck high low with a big space in the middle.

There's no excuses for the 2025 season. You don't make move like getting Dallas Bakers and flipping elite players. Guys wouldn't come back like Banks if they didn't think they can make a deep run in the playoffs. The pieces are there . This guy is spot on Billy needs an OC to not change the playbook but run the offense and add to it.
