Does Nehru need to be defended by anyone? He went away more than half a century ago. It only proves that we have no ability to think beyond. Water runs in the streams and rivers into the sea similarly the stream of time moves on. Reservations were important then, the founding fathers prayed and hoped that the people of lower strata were struggling with no education,jobs, health will raise their bar in all the indices. Unfortunately the conditions have not improved much. It is indeed a very sad state where people are looking up to the reservations. Reservations should help in making all i e the last person in a queue stand up and fight his /her own problems and issues. We as a country are zealously fighting to drop the tag of the third world countries and join the elite group of countries. It is imperative that all our people have equal rights, opportunities and there is cooperation and coordination. Equality is not about a straight line being drawn across the society but it means equal opportunities. Every one has the right to health, nutrition, education, a job and has opportunities to dignified life.
