33:44 Kira brought up a valid point!!! WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO ANSWER TO ANYONE ABOUT OUR PERSONAL DECISION? This is our life!! As we struggle with health issues due to the stressers from our environment, etc there's not one person that can take away your pain, stresses AND your illness! You have FULL RESPONSIBILITY OVER YOUR OWN BODY AND MIND!! It is up to YOU to fix your life!! Just one statement: IT FEELS GOOD IS THE BEST REASON TO MAKE A MAJOR DECISION IN YOUR LIFE!!!!

Ladies thank you both for this wonderful conversation. You don’t know what an impact you have on women like me when y’all dare to say out loud that you choose yourselves. I struggle with the idea of leaving my kids with their dad. It’s one of the things that keeps me stuck from not moving abroad. This conversation helped to give myself permission to choose myself too.

Oh my goodness i'm so glad I stumbled upon this video. I can so relate to everything she is saying about unsubscribing from it. I am a nurse and when I try to explain to people that I am tired of being a nerves that I am exhausted. The only thing people have advice for me is. Well, why would you give up a career that pays good money? Because I'm exhausted and tired and overworked and not being appreciated. And I try to explain to them about the sacrifices that nurses make, including their life, including their children.

I'm so wrapped up in these videos! From picky girl travels - originally opened my eyes. To Stephanie Perry practically picking me up and sitting me on foreign land! 😂 I'm so grateful🙏🏾 The guests! So much so I'm watching this one, just as engulfed as I was when it first aired. I couldn't make it passed 20 minutes of the State of the union. Now their priority is TT??? Oh, america, america it's near time to bid thee farewell.

When you just said you were doing a dual degree program and you still didn't feel like it was enough.... OMG! I had to pause the video to cry. I'm doing that a second time. 1st with a masters degree and new teacher institute in 2013 and now for my specialist and my doctorate. I identify with SO much of what you are saying, we are so similar in how we move...it is unbelievable. I'm grateful that I have a wonderful workplace like when you felt lucky to have the covering you had before. I feel that way too. Much of my stress is self imposed because I have wanted to live abroad since I was a teenager. Now that the kids are grown and I'm out of that 21 year marriage, I know I can do it and am taking steps in preparation. Thank you for this conversation, both of you.

Thank you so much for bringing this to the forefront. ALLLLLL Black Women NEED to hear this!! Even those that think that they are "good" and it goes over their heads, it will click at some point. Black Women have been indoctrinated by SO MANY different dogmas within this colonized experience, and then we have to deal with how our community and our men have these expectations for us, that they would never do. I gotta keep it real. I love our people, we must recognize as much as we can how we've been under a lot of pressures, especially our women. We are NEVER acknowledged for as much as we do and yet so many of our women go through what Kira explained and worse, it breaks my heart. Our womanhood is NOT respected, it is made fun of, mocked and looked as if with no value. I have been saying this since my 30s that all money aint good money in the corporate circle and in my 40s I been wanting to escape this UNITED STATES CORPORATION. I have a lot of friends from abroad and I look at them 2 shades crazy listening to how much they want to come here. I also have a lot of immigrant friends and they talk about their stressers here. All that glitters aint gold. I tell them, while you running to come here, we're running to come to your land for a real quality of life. I understand that nothing is perfect wherever you are from but to live in the west causes your health to deplete!! ANOTHER THING: It's absolutely disrespectful that society and the indoctrination within our communities all told us that being a woman only amounts to being a mother and a wife. Basically we're told that losing your identity is the end all be all. A woman loses her identity in this society as a mother because apparently the child's word is over hers and she loses her identity as a wife LEGALLY with her family name being lost and her catering to her husband is paramount, she has NO voice. I am glad that these ladies are putting it all on the table with this discussion. Excellent build.

And we have to think twice about the term, friend. I think that the word has been over used and given to people that do not deserve it. To be a friend is an honor and privledge. I agree I have said that I have friends for different parts of my life and different parts of my personality. But for me, the friend that, "tells it like it is" truly is NOT my type of friend. People like that see only through their lenses without understanding that each person IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than you and have their own destiny. As real friends, we can only offer support and if there is perceived danger, there's nothing wrong with speaking the truth WITH DIPLOMACY and most importantly, RESPECT. Sometimes people have to get their asses handed to them to move to the next level, UNFORTUNATELY...that's life.

My KZbin channel is a newly created space named UNDENSIFY where I try to promote everything relating to living with ease and stressfree but from a more spiritual perspective, so this really resonates. I too followed that compelling call to first leave the UK to the US, to then feel the 'pull' to travel to Mexico. Like you, I studied YT videos on the pros and the cons, didn't tell a single person ( for the same reasons), and made the decision within months on my own. Your message here, convinces that I'm not alone and not crazy like some 'friends & family' think I am in making such a much needed decision, for my body, mind & energy. Thanks for sharing.💜
