the issue with you mentioning JJK is that Sukuna is the MAIN villain. if you read the most recent chapters you will see that he is not even in Yuji's body anymore and that sukuna is not written to be some source of power for the main character. that and Yuji's body essentially acts as a prison for Sukuna. and for that reason he escapes by stealing someone elses body who cannot restrain him.

It's very realistic to be a attention seeker like boruto was when your parents are always busy..and they never give you time... Boruto is so unique in that aspect. Momoshiki’s presence in the story is an active threat to the world’s safety. Unlike kurama, which is a more or less natural part of the world, he is more like a parasite. And the way he feeds off of boruto to slowly erase his existence is really intense and makes the chapters suspenseful. Once his karma is placed on boruto, it kind of makes boruto an active threat to the story as well. Boruto is constantly fighting his fate to destroy everything around him. And thats where the beauty of boruto’s writing shines for me. Great video!

I wouldn't classify JJK in the same tier as the rest of the anime that use this trope, Because it and Buroto are the only ones that accually made the inner demon trope alot more creative and engaging, both of Sukuna and Momoshiki aren't just monsters that grant the MC power, Both of them have thier own agendas and motivations and only help when it benefits them, even more so in Sukuna's case since he never helped Yuji once, the reason why Boruto and JJK really nailed this trope is because they made the inner demons a constant looming threat that isn't just a power up to be used when needed, unlike say Kurama where he never really felt like he was an intimidating presence to Naruo or the main cast since everytime he took control he was dealt with pretty fast and never accually fataly wounded or killed anyone, he was mainly treated as an immense power burst for Naruto, and unlike Kurama and most of the other animes that use this trope, these 2 can't be befriended or controlled to serve as the MC's new form or power, Momoshiki's presence alone threatens Boruto's very existance, and Sukuna's appereance leads to colateral damage to the entire surrounding area as well as destroys Yuji's mental state, Both of them do what they desire for thier own good and let the MCs bear the blame and face the consequances thus they were the reason for most of thier hosts malfortune, in Boruto's case the whole world turning against him and in Yuji case an order for his excution and bieng viewed as a Monster and a killing machine by the Jujutsu world. Both of them elevated this trope imo, and created something fresh and new from an overused cliche that we've seen alot of.

I currently have “is killer bee the new rock lee” being worked on and “itachi vs killer bee” is almost done editing but will most likely be scrapped or pushed further down the line. Ive actually semi wrote a whole boruto timeskip conspiracy video but it never was finished for unknown reasons. I have a folder of at least 12ish ideas that are all either half done or barely started i just gotta focus up more and pick one.

Also keep in mind Kurama actually cares for Naruto, that’s proof enough because Bijus don’t NEED their jinchuruki infact it’s more of a prison than a vessel to them. Momoshiki willingly took over Boruto because he didn’t want to die. And when Boruto died and Momoshiki resurrected him it wasn’t because he felt bad for Boruto or felt sympathy for him it was because of his own selfish reasons. Naruto and Kurama learned to love and accept each other while Boruto and Momoshiki absolutely despise each other if not more after the time skip.

Jjk and boruto both use the inner demon pretty similar since both demons don’t grant the character power, both want/wanted to break the main character’s spirit to take over their body, and both heal the main character so they have a chance at getting into someone else’s body

This video is focused on the overall use of the trope being incognito aswell as different in a sense and more undercover and lowkey with how it was implemented compared to being constantly shown off like most other series and even being the final villain. Boruto is my no means flawless, its just over-hated, but just as momoshiki is the cause of everything bad in borutos life, indirectly or not, kurama was the same, also momoshiki serves the same purpose as kurama in part one naruto from a battle perspective, not in part two and kurama did serve as more then a power-up in that as well. My main bug with boruto from a personal perspective is the lack of emotion in the characters, not to say they have none but it makes everything feel flat but maybe thats because i have been reading lots of one piece that has made this stand out so much.

​@@misoooAnime I think that's a very selfless mindset. most people have their reasons to hate the series. i've been keeping up with Naruto for a while, and i can guarantee you the series started falling off during the war arc. Boruto kind off extents the stuff we hate from the war arc. like lets be real here, other than Boruto and Kawaki right now. which side character is remotely close to their power? almost no one. at least back in earlier Shippuden when the Akatsuki were the villains in focus, you could argue that some of the side characters could beat some of them. like i don't mind Boruto as a concept but the power cliffing is insane, not only that but the obvious fact Naruto and Sasuke were being nerfed for plot convenience is also kind of wack. doesn't matter what kind of training konohamaru or sarada do in a few years i don't see them being able to get anywhere near Boruto and Kawaki's power, i mean they literally have gods inside them for their source power. a 4 year time skip isn't realistic. like even people in naruto did training for years, only to get a small power increase, like do you we really expect for sarada to be somewhere on par with boruto? without having a non-sensical power creep? it took Naruto and Sasuke and the Kage 20 year time skip with pretty much godly power, in order to spar with otsutsuki clan members. ain't now way in gods green earth can someone like Sarada with other than insane physical strength and a mere MS, in a 4 year time skip, be able to box with boruto who's above momoshikis power at this point. like sarada at most, depends on what ms ability she gets is on par with some of the later war arc characters.

Personally I find Boruto better than Naruto. I mean look at the character development of Boruto, unlike Naruto(don't get the wrong idea) he's a natural prodigy inherenting talents from Hinata and Minato as well. He is polar opposite of Naruto cold,precise, cool and calm. With latest two blue vortex chapters he's just flexing with Code and Sage Mitsuki in just his base form.

The way jjk and boruto handle their inner demon is different. Sukuna is the big bad always in the spotlight main villain unstoppable force. While momoshiki is almost the complete opposite making the use of the trope more apparent and noticeable in jjks case than borutos. Very different situations but that doesnt mean one of worse or better than the other. Less about praising it for views and more of a i had this thought a while back but held onto it until i wanted to make a video for it. Does seem to work for views in this case though.

Also on the whole, the inner demon trope having an eye roll reaction is weird because every series that does it uses it very differently. So my theory on why sumire wasn't affected by the omnipotence is because in the beginning of boruto we saw sauske say to Naruto I can't believe the foundation got so close to kaguyas jutsu and that jutsu was embedded onto sumire back so in theory she had some otstutsuki essence in her..and sarada awakend the mangekyo sharingan and that might give her powers to not be affected....

Sasuke also has s mangekyou sharingan and was affected, but maybe its different because sarada wouldve been uh… conceived… while sasuke still had his tomoe rinnegan / six paths chakra.

1:31 technically, One Piece also utilizes this trope. although, it's technically a retcon, while also being massively & blatantly foreshadowed (so kinda not a retcon). while also separately follows this trope inherently. Boruto is one of the most miss treated story in recent years, and its literally bcs 1 thing. If you ask any Boruto hater that quit the show, 90% of them will tell you, they hate Boruto bcs of how he was acting towards Naruto. Boruto was bitch towards Naruto for like 50+ ep which is really much. In Manga there isnt this problem bcs Boruto was mean to naruto for 5-6 chapters and thats huge time difference . It was one of his key character developments ( and he had a lot of them) But in anime it last wayy to long

Only thing I hate about Boruto is the power scaling. These are supposed to be kids and they're comparable to gods like Naruto and Sasuke. Those two should body any enemy in the series easily but yet Naruto struggles with Delta. I would've made the time skip much further when they're old so it makes sense that Naruto is not as strong as he used to be.

i mean thats kind of a you having personal bias issue, its been stated time and time again that the new generation will surpass the old, and these batch of kids (sarada, boruto, kawaki, mitsuki) all have much more potential to be greater than naruto and sasuke ever did, along with them just having more tools at their disposal and fighting stronger opponents than naruto and sasuke did when they were kids it makes sense that they will become stronger than their parents. Delta is just strong asf theres good arguments for her being stronger than momoshiki which i can believe.

No hate or anything on Boruto but the things it does doesn't surprise me and more often than not disappoints with moments that should have been more impactful(naruto fighting isshiki ,sasuke losing his eye, kuramas death, the entire arc involving code, the prophecy arc and, the fact that Naruto got sealed up so easily by kawaki ,Momobitchie don't why they kept him alive all he does is commentary on Boruto manga, karma,codes whole existence,naruto being the dumbest hokage ever,and the introduction of the shinjus,) Boruto as a character is good and had actual development throughout Also been reading since ao arc and the timeskip is shaping up to be interesting and is at least making some good plot developments and becoming as good as the ao arc in terms of art and action. I hate how everybody who has ever loved Naruto as a character betrayed their love for him in favor of Boruto. Not only that but people seem to worship Boruto as if he's the physical embodiment of the universe itself. Without Boruto the universe would just explode into nothingness and everything and everyone would cease to exist. Like c'mon people! That's fucking stupid. Even when they called it Boruto: Naruto Next Generation all they did was exclude 99% of the next generation and still made Boruto the main center of all the attention.
