Why Bother? - MEPSKING 2207 1950KV Motors Review (Every Color)

UPDATE 6-27-2023: Please be aware that I do not recommend these motors or brand. MEPSKING has shown to be a company with questionable ethics (silencing and attacking negative reviews and preventing accurate information from being shared, as per their review contract (which I did not sign)), as well as questionable product quality (based on other pilots' experiences). Trying out some 2207 1950KV motors from ‪@mepsking‬ .
BLUF: Good quality motors, survived a couple good crashes, probably a good value for the cost (~$22), really good looks. However, they are currently only available from mepsking.com (shipping takes 1-2 weeks from China(?)) and it's not clear that these motors really bring anything new or special to the currently saturated FPV motor merket. More long-term and emperical data gathering is needed to really determine whether MEPS' claimed advantages actually make a difference in real world use.
Here is a review of these motors (that I found after I finished my review) by Chris Rosser that has a lot more technical data that he gathered: • The MOST EFFICIENT 220... . Basically his data shows that these motors are fairly average, with a little bit of an advantage towards efficiency.

i have a review of there 20x20 45a esc waiting for there approval to be posted. it's a great ESc but like you talked about being T-Motor, when i plugged the esc to blhelisuit it said it was a T-Motor esc. T-Motor GO-1 rev 32.9 to be exact. i thought that was strange but it makes me happy. i like T-Motor stuff. Thats not something i think we should complain about so i didn't mention it. i thought it was a plus! Hoping to review everything they have as there stuff seems solid. Great review brother.

@@ChainsawFPV It is great. i fly 3D so needed a good esc that could turtle mode a lot and let me take off upside down when i crash without popping the mosfets. so far it does 3D great and loads of power. wish i had a bag full of there ESC's.

Why would you have to wait for them to approve a review? That's the exact opposite of why you make a review. Why should they have any say of you trying to review a product of theirs that they're wanting feedback from if it's not going to be honest?

@@TechTimeElectronics well to get a product for free you have to sign a contract saying you will list all the info about there product and use cetin logos in your video. thats whay they need to review it first to make sure everything is in there if not you are liable for the full price of the product. as far as the review goes you can say anything you want like or hate there products. have you never reviewed a product for a company before?

@@TechTimeElectronics I agree. Especially with a product that so many are having issues with. A channel should not lie just to get a free product. To many new people see them then get stuck with a inferior product, which turns them away from the hobby. KEEP REVIEWS HONEST!!!!

I I had the same problem with my nbd aio as well. One small tumble (crash) and now it's seems messed up. 150 bucks gone.

I tried them, and got attacked by Mepsking for my honest review. I can send you the contract that they sent me (i didnt sign), it says they have prior approval of all videos and require preauthorization of all videos. The motors failed the first day i used them. The aluminum used was not 7575, the tops of the bells seperate from the sidewalls. The rings on the bottom of the motor mounts dig into and damage your carbon fiber frame. When i released videos explaining why their motors are failing on day 1, and how their marketing scheme has been run, they attacked me personally, released my home address in a post condeming my actions, threatening my family, and attempting to discredit and silence an honest review. They made no attempts to address the issues i had with the motors. They just attacked me. 10 meps sales girls and 20+ 3 day old accounts shit posted me for a week. Everyone has the right to speak their opinions, and reviewers shouldnt be silenced. Please be careful who you get in bed with...8% affiliate link isnt worth dealing with thugs.

I did not really get the feeling that I need to run and chose these motors over other well known brands. Their "review strategy" (read comments below) make me just totally avoid them, actually.
