Yachts are not a good investment, they lose a lot of value the moment they touch the water and do not appreciate in value.

@@MUFC1933 With the possible exception of classic cars/motorbikes. There are no classic yachts to my knowledge but I am not confident in saying that none exist.

Classic vessels do exist, but what you're talking about then is classic sailing boats which is a very very niche market. You really only can generate value off of those if you are yourself invested in that scene. Like you say classical cars can be an investment, but sea vessels are just made to generate profit (yachts may not generate profit by themselves, but they buy the opportunities you can get when inviting people) So you could argue that it can be a good investment, but you have to understand that a vessel is designed to make money by use. If you don't do anything with it it'll loose you 99,99% of cases.
