Just have a look at Calgary's oil boom and bust cycle and have a look at real estate prices during those times. Think again.

Hey@@mikebak6048! You're absolutely right, the real estate market used to be closely tied to the prices of oil and gas... but things have changed! For the first time in Alberta's history, real estate prices aren't driven by oil and gas, but by inter-provincial migration. Check out the part of this video where I show the migration between cities - you'll see that the MOST people are moving OUT of Toronto, and the city gaining the most people is Calgary.
