I'm Australian. Thank you for your very informative video. I have already been to Merida, Valladolid. I came to Campeche because it has a different history to M and V. I'm interested in all the different history/culture of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish so thank you as well for helpful information. I am doing various tours with English speaking guides. Happy travelling.

It is a “traditional Mexican experience” Mexico has different experiences, depends all on the state or town you’re visiting. This is very traditional of Campeche and it’s surrounded by restaurants and street vendors, this is where the locals hangout.

@waysoftheworld_10 ай бұрын
Campeche city isn't really known for it's beach, but I think there is one a short drive from the colonial center. I think it's a good, but not great, beach.

@waysoftheworld_10 ай бұрын
Hmm, if you're just staying in the city, then 2 full days is probably enough. But there are some cool things in the area like Edzna ruins and Miguel Colorado eco park 😎

Unfortunately no :( That's the only downside of Campeche. There are a couple you can go on a day trip. One is called Isla Aguada (1.5 hour drive) and Playa Bonita (30 minute drive). We wrote a blog post with more things to do from Campeche (and in Campeche) here: www.waysoftheworldblog.com/things-to-do-campeche-mexico/ Worth checking out before you visit this beautiful town!!

@dgaydos Жыл бұрын
Hay que aprender al menos un poco :)
@waysoftheworld_ Жыл бұрын
We feel safer in Mexico than in the US :) And Campeche is extremely safe. And about the language, it's always good to have some basic words with you. Google translate works offline too. If you're able to travel, don't let language keep you from doing so. People are kind, there's technology and for sure a lot of people speak basic English.
