'Keeping up with the Jones's' somes it up perfectly imo. Kinda thing people who really shouldn't be buying it buy via the mainstream online-based dealers or dedicated leasing companies which list all options on finance. Merc in the past decade has become a huge mass market 'status' symbol to folks it seems but tide is turning economically.

Big 4x4’s are not popular at the moment, people downsizing by the bucketload, see loads on budget tyres, showing how little owners have to spend..but it looks a lovely example.. mmmm

As you mentioned in the previous GLC video Joe stick with your core business model of the cars you can flip quickly. The Mini Cooper S F56 a prime example of the cars that sell well. The Merc is nice but the customer base a little more scarce mature audience in my opinion good luck with moving it on.

My 2009 C Class C250 CDI estate easily averages 53 to the gallon. Same 2.1 diesel unit.

When I’m looking at cars in my price bracket (14k - 20k) I avoid diesel now. I don’t feel I do enough miles to feel confident that I won’t get the usual diesel issues associated with lower mileage. When I look at Mercedes BMW and Audi a lot on sale are diesel so I cross them off the list. It’s a shame as there are a reasonable selection of good spec models but for me the wrong engine. Maybe I’m just over thinking a bit ?

Funnily enough we had the GLC 350d a few years ago (this model) & replaced it with an XC90. GLC was a lovely car but actually quite cramped in the back with 2 car seats

For me. The cabin fellt cramped. I found the 170bhp to be very sluggish abd heavy. Spec wise for the price can be missing some items. I didnt particularly like the drive. But the interior felt nice.

A friend of mine had one of these but with petrol engine. He told me it the worst car he'd ever owned in 50 years of car ownership! He couldn't wait for the lease to expire.

I don't get the MPG it must be the 4Matic strangling the MPG as I have the same engine in the same year C250 2wd and on a run I get 50+ and mixed driving including around London 42mpg.

diesels are going out of fashion and values reflect it, I think the car is possibly overpriced by 2 grand and a reduction to under £19995 would generate a bit more interest

I have an audi q5 and love it, but I think when you are going to spend that kind of money, you are looking for one where the options list has been ticked, and also the depreciation is killer. I've done 28000 miles in a year and a half and my Audi has dropped probably £8000 if I traded it in, plus I spent £4.5k fixing the gearbox in that time too. Appreciate its not a merc, but I would assume the figures are similar. Also these are motorway cruisers rather than country lane cruisers

hate the vag groups dsgs/ stronic, super expensive to fix the only literal positive is that it shifts quick but i’d rather a old torque converter for reliability and drivability.

Very enjoyable video. The centre dials of my Qashqai reminds me very much of a nuclear submarine bridge, not that I've ever been in one, or really know what they look like! 😁😁. Great car. Should not be a problem selling it, irrespective of todays financial woes. All the best.

I think it's because at the moment all business seem quiet i'd say in the next 4 weeks it be sold and it be a euro 6 too and tax is not expensive maybe £155 per year, i don't think for one minute it's because it's diesel, diesel vehicles seem to holding there value better than electric
