Not to mention they framed Big Cat Rescue as villains and now a bunch of ignorant Netflix watchers are flooding the channel to dislike and more. They have no idea what BCR is about, all the things they've done over the years (the many rescues they did, the amount of money they put just to give medical treatment for sick senior big cats, and more). It’s important to point out that all over their media and website and videos, Big Cat Rescue says this exact thing over and over and over. There are several good sanctuaries that take good care of their cats. It is not entirely a binary situation.
@777dark4 жыл бұрын
it is, it's completely not about the treatment (and trust me "good care" is always a mask, big cats arent little pets just like that), it's about the fact that it does basically nothing for tiger conservation. They are indeed basically useless for anything else than "pets" and IF their "instincts" (mostly just a bad mood because of not being in the wild) they attack someone and then bam probably death, it's just bad this is just animal abuse, they need space too, the reason there are no GW sharks in captivity for example is they die, not enough room in any aquarium in the world. they need territory, the wild is not only where they are at their best, need to be, should be and where they are TRULY comfortable.

That's not even the biggest problem, instincts could develop in some individuals, but the result of spreading those mixed inbred/interbred genes could be catastrophic for the population of each species.
@tessat3384 жыл бұрын
It's not just that they don't know how or what to hunt, it's that the mixed breeding makes it difficult to even know what sort of environmental niche that the tiger could even survive in. Private ownership and unregulated breeding of big cats and exotic species is generally a bad idea.
@zenldh4 жыл бұрын
it is not just about instinct or food like the others had said here, and actually explained in the video, and I repeat, they are too familiar with human. just like stray and semi feral animals that had already been familiarized human with food, comfort, pet and play, they didnt have the same 'fear' against human. for a lot of animals this 'fear' is what protect them. kevin richardson was asked about why his lions doesnt get released/reintroduced to the wild and his explanation is that it is too dangerous for both human and the animal itself. why? with habitat lose, and competition against prey that might be scarce with their wild counterparts, these animals will run to human. you can see how stray dogs and cats went to human, begging for food. bcs they familiarized themselves that human bring food. This could end up in tragedy. the big cats could attack human, human in return will murder them. take a case a sumatran tiger in Indonesia that entered a residential area and ended up being murdered, disemboweled and poached. and another case where the tigers kill human.
