Ever since the start of Fortnite Chapter 5, the Item Shop has been on a massive decline. In today's video, I talk about why the Item Shops in Chapter 5 are so bad!

EDIT: In the video i accidentally say that the Avatar skins were 200 V-Bucks instead of 2,000. Just ignore that i said 200 because i ment to say 2,000. Anyways, Fortnite seriously needs to fix these Item Shops as they've all felt corporate & with them having no soul put into them. It's generally sad that they keep making bad decisions just for the sake of change. And this is coming from someone who likes change. I want Fortnite to be in a great & enjoyable state. I will say that GAMEPLAY WISE, it's great! Everything else as been a very mixed bag & with them ignoring criticism against some of the very questionable decisions that they've made & are continuing to double down on. Hopefully someday, they actually listen to the community's problems with the Locker UI & the current state of the Item Shops.

As a new player, I am completely baffled by the store. I've been holding on to my in-game currency for 2 weeks now because nothing from my wish list is available for purchase, and the skins that are in store are basically screaming at me to wait and don't settle for mediocrity. 😓

the biggest problem i have with the item shop is the fact a few certain skins (cough triple threat and kyra) keep returning and wont get out of the shop

I only buy emotes, instruments, cars and Jam Tracks since I only use 1 skin. Last skin I bought was Billie Eilish for the Festival Pass. I have no idea how bad the shops are since I have all the skins I've waited for lol.

I don't understand what you all mean by "original emotes". Almost none of the emotes are original, they are dances and music they took from other media.

literally the only saving grace in the shops are the new weekly tracks, new emotes and a few rare returns also I don’t think the shop UI is the problem (they only added tabs on the side and showcases the item on the right), it’s the amount of tabs overall that gives us this feeling of the shop barely changing 3:44 tbf, we had 1500 vbuck skins that didn’t come with a back bling nor a built-in emote (ex. Zori Bliss) 5:14 btw, there is a new Jam Track Tab now showing most tracks that are not shown in the shop tabs (they should reduce it to one tab showing the new tracks tho)

I couldn’t care less about new items just fix the locker fix the movement and bring back daily rewards for STW if they want to drive up the price I’d just simply not buy anything

I agree that these shops are terrible but we should definitely be putting all out energy into making the actual game better. The thing that should be the least of our worries is the thing that takes our money. Technically shops that are terrible means we spend less is good

Genuinely these shops have been terrible. It’s easy to fix in my opinion, you can even make them be run by AI if you do it right- it’s just that they aren’t doing it right.

I don't really think bringing back Kratos wouldn't solve the issues with the shops. It'd be awesome for him to come back but it wouldn't fix the current issues with the Item Shop.

Why is the community so obsesed with the item shop? They are actually going to buy things? They want all the skins of the game available? They just have a lot of money to buy V-bucks and skins? They think the most important thing for the game is the shop? Im not saying that people should shut up and eat everything epic gives us, the locker and the UI needs a desperate fix and selling lego kits it's pretty fool by their part. But if something is too expensive then they can simply dont buy it, something that would be a smarter choise, and i think they should be worried more about things like the gameplay and the working of the game itself.

Why do people keep saying the shops are bad there actually good now we get stuff that is generally good and rare and we keep getting returning and new collabs and skins the reason you guys say there bad is cause people either want Kratos or are blinded by last seasons shops also not to mention there should be no complaining about the shop it has nothing to do with the gameplay and this is coming from a person who checks the shop everyday at 7/8pm and has mostly over 8+k spent on the game Overall I feel as a community we are very ungrateful because notice how most the stuff we complain about aren’t even gameplay factors, overall the game is good but people keep making it seem it’s a greedy and horrible company, but that’s just my thoughts would love for people to respond or give there thoughts on what I said 😊.

@@ryananderson8702 1st of all what’s your definition of “bad” skin because the skins that are coming back are unique and have not been back in a long time, also this response and video makes me think, do you guys play fortnite for fortnite or just for cosmetics cause bringing up cosmetics seems like a very terrible point for saying the game is losing its identity. Also, lemme say some stuff here about the twitter thread. 1. The blaze skin instead of the blaze glider was most likely a mistake hence they share the same, and the biker skins came back a few days later with the the actual blaze glider instead of the blaze skin so it was definitely a mistake. 2. Duplicate item shop things? Yeah that's probably a mistake aswell. 3. Breakin being marked as new is probably a bug 4. Halloween skins/stuff come early because like now, they bring back skins because of they got new lego versions, so it isn't ran by AI, it's probably ran by lego.

Anyway speaking of daily section, maximum bounce and they putted that in the daily section once, without the other melloverse stuff. And you think it's a problem now. Just ridiculous.
