As a Trinidadian I am so proud and impressed by the deep historical, scientific and overall knowledge of the tour guide. He was not introduced to the viewers, but his tee shirt says Neil Langley. A very interesting hike. I have visited the LaBrea Tar Pits in Los Angeles where they have built it up into a Tourist attraction. I was unaware that Trinidad/Tobago had such a resource.

Lake asphalt at La Brea. As good as or even better than petroleum asphalt. Mixed with synthetic means that it's mixed with polymers to enhance the quality and meet specifications for various countries. Good video and basic discussion.

Coco, this was the most thorough tour of the pitch lake I’ve ever experienced.The tour guide was the most knowledgeable and well spoken.Big up to Neil……that was a 10!In fact I went to school nearby where I can see the pitch Lake from class.At that time there was a huge scale where trucks would enter to measure the asphalt.Many tourists would come and go.Nearby local folks would try to make asphalt drums into steel pan….u can hear tuning of the drums into steel pan music.Thank u so much!Well done.👍🙏
