I love using MSG. No issues here, it's subtle and definitely adds that umami flair❤️

Increasingly using grocery store chicken or beef stocks, it has msg in it. Matches western flavor preference and FDA recommendation per serving. Your next restaurant could be using Campbell. Have to adjust, else people wont go.

I was in a double blind study for people with sensitivity to MSG. Every time I ingested MSG I did get a migraine.

Yeah but eating too much is bad for your health. If you put a little in each dish, and there’s a lot of dishes, you’re going to end up with health problems. In some countries, it’s illegal to not put the consequences of MSG. “no issues”

Knuckle method doesnt not always work when cooking rice, it really depends on the rice variety and how old the rice is (the amount of water content). Trial and error method is the only way to go. Go ask Uncle Roger

I absolutely love Chinese food! Especially if it's homemade or from a recipe in a cookbook. I never ever get tired of the stuff! 😋♥️

I find homemade is waaaay better and no MSG needed! :)

@@w420beers That tells me you've never eaten authentic Chinese food. Restaurant Chinese food is in a league way above that of homemade, for the reason stated in the video.

Is there an authentic Chinese recipe for vegetable chow mein and orange chicken?
@angelasieg5099 Жыл бұрын
I have an excellent wok done right it tastes better homemade I use higher quality meats no msg needed. I have a GI disease and msg and I are not compatible. With some good quality soy and oyster sauce making fried rice and Lo mein is quick and easy made with leftovers like pork tenderloin or grilled chicken. Our last take out order was $70 for 4 ppl to exspensive! A frozen veggie blend gives me the water chestnuts I adore.

Glutenous Rice or sweet rice is used for dessert, not the same as normal sticky rice used for stape food. In terms of biology it's Oryza sativ var. glutinosa vs the normal Oryza sativa japonica used in east asia. While in the west, Oryza sativa indica normally used. btw, indica rice is also used in widely China, but I rarely see it in American Chinese food.

I bought Beef Broccoli @ a big box store. Cooking it, it looks awful. But, it tastes the same as Beef Broccoli @ an Asian restaurant.

MSG stands for makes stuff great so I use it in everything stir fry otherwise it tastes bland.... I never go to Chinese restaurants that have the big no MSG signs 🤮 might as well put a sign that says "bland dishes inside " 😆

For real Chinese food, we don’t use MSG. The food tastes better in restaurants because it’s the Wok kee 锅气

Quit calling that rice you call sticky rice it's called steam rice when you steam it in a pot that is called steam rice sticky rice is a lot different from what you eat with a spoon sticky rice in the laos culture you don't use a spoon sticky rice it's eaten by hand that is sticky rice. There's 2 different rice. Jasmine rice is Not sticky rice sweet rice is sticky rice. Jasmine rice is cooked in a rice cooker sweet rice is cook in a special rice hopper..
