I know right I always tell people it's the consistency. When he was coming into the NBA they said Ray Felton or Derron Williams. He surpassed them, then it was Rondo, D rose, TP, Nash outlasted them. Now it's Curry, Dame, Kyrie, Westbrook. Man not saying one of those guys can't take the torch but wait more than two or three years till we crown these guys, cause when they fall off like Rose or Arenas now people call them trash when they once were crowned. Curry is great right now but 11 years like you said that's point god status.

Great video and I agree with just about everything you included. I have a question that I often wonder when I watch him, what do you think about when CP comes off a pick and roll screen and stalls the ball and doesn't attack. I tend to notice the Clippers getting in shot clock trouble when he isn't aggressive or waits to pass the ball coming off the pick and roll which forces the Clippers and usually CP to try and bail them out with a long contested jumper, which I don't believe is efficient offense.

Talent wise, he is the second greatest PG in the history of this league. I think it's fair to praise this type of player regarding his style, numbers, legacy, etc... take Olajuwon for example. He is clearly the most talented big in history, still people forget about him in most cases. Shaq has an aggressive stye that I and many fans love it, KAJ has that incredible consistency and patented signature moves... They are more naturally recognisable. Still, the amount of talent that Olajuwon had was so impressive that any person can watch and see how much ahead of the competition he was. He was the best center in the golden age of the position, no other big could even scratch him. And that is CP3 nowadays. Since his very first year, the guy is a top all around player, the best PG on the golden era of the position. He had competition, guys like Deron, Rondo, Curry, etc.. Challenged him really hard for the best PG consideration. Still, all these guys had ups and downs, CP never had a down year. The only thing who stopped him was injuries, the guy can make untalented scrubs like DeAndre and Chandler look like allstars on offense, lol Even if he is a second round virgin, we can't deny how talented he is. The greatest downside of a pure Point God is that he desperatelly needs elite talent to strive. This can be applied to every position, sure, but the PG is easily the most dependable. Imagine Stockton without Malone? Or Magic without a superstar team? Isaiah without the bad boys and the defenses schemes? To be extra fair, CP is having an amazing career, but he never had a super team. In these recent years the talent around him grown substantionally, but is far to be comparable with other PG who won before him (yeha, even LeBron is in this conversation).

The best point guard in this current leauge. He is all purpose: pass, shoot, steal, defend, dribbling and 3 points! What else can you ask for? He's also the most consistent player.
@kambion8 жыл бұрын
Too bad the rest of that team is full of ball hog losers. Love CP3, he should be on a better team.

What are you talking about the clippers are an amazing team there's a reason why they make the playoffs Chris Paul should be happy to be there
@mnnrlfs8 жыл бұрын
+Steve Salazar it is just a shame that they aren't good enough in comparison to the Spurs and GSW at the moment (especially the Clippers bench) to get CP3 his ring
@kambion8 жыл бұрын
Steve Salazar You're fucking dumb. He was just as good with JUST David West in NO. Paul elevates any team to the playoffs. The Clips suck ass, and their two scorers (Griffin and Crawford) are worthless.

Cp3 is the best point guard in the game and literally does more for his team than any other player in the league. This summer when KD is a free agent he should go to the Clippers. It would make them INSTANT favorites and would fix the clippers number problem and make KD so much more potent.
@nicomauri82228 жыл бұрын
or he could go to the warriors and win a title for the next 5 years...

That would be too much

Who tf would want him to go warriors it would make the league boring in history kd would be remembered as the guy who needs an all time great team to win a ring

The difference between Lebron and if kd done that is Lebron made that heat team what it was kd would just join a winning team

Wow! True mastery. If Chris were two inches taller the league would be his. His instincts, decision-making, skills, timing and self-control are phenomenal.

Is there going to be a video on rose's excellent performance since the all star break
@IanLEAU8 жыл бұрын
He's exactly like Jason Kidd, a basketball savant. The way they both scan the defence on fast breaks, use pick and rolls and their "pass-first" mindsets really separates them from other point guards. Both deadly defensive players as well, Jason Kidd could steal the ball from the best ball handlers and Chris Paul is arguably the best ever at doing it. Both great point guards, both very similar playstyles.

People just take CP for granted. He is so consistent to a point that people think he should able to perform in a super high level every night. Seriously, he has been doing this from day 1 when he started to play in the league.
@陳柏安-q5k8 жыл бұрын
definitely top 5 PG of all time, because he knows how to play strategy with passes, thats what lillard, wall, irving needs to learn more to utilize their teammates

Favorite Stat: Chris Paul is leading the all time career individual offensive rating list with 122 pts/100 possessions. Doesn't yet factor in the inevitable downward spiral thats coming towards the end of his career, but it still has to be an argument for him to be one of the very best offensive players ever.
@joedagg44958 жыл бұрын
What makes Chris PAul so underrated to other nba greats and other point guards is how little he turns the ball over.

I love watching CP3. Glad to see he's having another wonderful season. Its weird to think that CP3 is maybe even the third best PG after Curry and Westbrook and still a top 7 player in the whole league.
@tmillz3318 жыл бұрын
The point guard position is evolving. PGs used to be primarily pass first. Nowadays if you're pg you gotta be exceptional at both scoring and passing. Nothing wrong with either style IMO but it makes me appreciate players like CP3 more
