Actually i was also surprised in 2016 that cid was slowly sidelined by sony and sony still today broadcasts cid in its sister channels like wah pal and more than 12hrs cid runs on tv and the episodes such as akhri chanauti never gets old

As I have seen in Cricket Team- Once upon a time It was Era of Sourav Ganguly. Then it was Era of Dhoni.. Then it was Kohli. And now Rohit Sharma. Can same thing happen with CID where one character retires another takes his place where the legacy continues.
