I mean as a Niners Fan, gotta give CJ Stroud props. I mean he’s a great MVP contender, and far better than Bryce Young. Most Elite QB that people consider that elite targets. (Examples: Mahomes/Kelce; Hurts/Brown; Tua/Tyreek + more) But in Strouds case, he has a far worse W.R core. Tank Dell and Noah Brown leading the catching offense is amazing. Stroud is becoming elite as the season goes. Carrying a far worse team to the playoffs is a miracle for the Texans. Props to the Texans for picking Stroud as #2! From a Niners Fan.

I think there is a chance Texans will draft Emeka Egbuka. With the Texans coach being in COTY they will be able to go after some defensive players in free agency. Players will want to play for them. Plus Texas is a tax friendly state. Honestly they might be looking at AFC south champs next year.

So happy to see Stroud killing it this season! He absolutely belongs in the MVP convo. It would be nice but no way they get Marvelous Marv, he’s a top 5 pick and Houston only has the Browns 1st rounder in ‘24. Maybe they can get Egbuka but he’ll probably go in the top 10. They should focus on defense anyway so every game doesn’t depend on CJ leading a game winning drive in the final minutes. Lol.

looking at the recivers in the draft wow this is absolutely perfect for them. Like you get a star mvp qb and then a stacked receiver class. some options for them could be worthy, nabers, obunze, and egbuka and a stacked o-line tbh they could even get laitu latu to pair with will anderson and possibly next year could challege some of the best in the nfl

So...this comment is a week after this video debuted. In this time, CJ had one of his "worst performances" where he had a three pick game... *AND* *HE* *STILL* *WON* ! His game in two days is the showdown I think we all want to see: Texans vs Jaguars in Houston. My personal thoughts are: the only people who will say that Stroud shouldn't be MVP will point to his three interception game and say "that's why", and that's bull sheet! See this video for evidence! Only five INTs with 6 games left? Even if he throws one per game the rest of the way, he's still only at 11! If he gets his team into the playoffs, which should read: Texans first winning season in for plus ever, in his rookie year, while literally elevating his entire offense...that is *exactly* what an MVP is supposed to do. The only reason he doesn't get MVP in that case is because CJ is pretty much a lock for rookie of the year and they don't want to give him two awards, which, again, is bull sheet! We can only hope the voters have the courage to do the right thing and give CJ all the awards he is due. And MVP is definitely one of them!

i think the real conversation that needs to be talked about is the mvp criteria...... on every sports talk show everyone is saying because the texans are likely a wild card team that he cant be an mvp..... it doesnt make sense to me..... if hes playing the best football at the qb position and his team finishes say .500..... hows that less impressive or less valuable than someone like tua or jalen hurts playing worse than cj but they play on a far better quality team? cj balling out playing like a top qb on a horrible texans roster is the definition of most valuable.... i understand take away tua mahomes hurts and insert their backup qb those teams instantly are no where near as good..... theyre obviously insanely valuable but take away cj and put in mills and were winning 2 games all year lol the nba has the same problem (not so much in recent years) but the mvp is usually the best player on the best team.... thats why harden got robbed multiple times like seriously idc if a team has 2 wins all season... if their qb throws 4500 30+ td and less than 10 int they deserve mvp for playing so damn good on such a horrible team.....

As a Browns fan (and Buckeye fan), I’m super happy for Houston and Stroud. I’m a little bummed because of the Watson situation, and he has played badly, but every single time he starts to get his footing (and starts playing better), he gets hurt. That’s not his fault. He clutched up BIG TIME against Baltimore and played through injury to lead a comeback win. Im not giving up on Watson yet… he just needs to stay healthy and string more games together. AFC North is the toughest division in football, with some of the best defenses in the NFL.

I want him to be recognized, but in fairness for me... Lamar Jackson is kinda popping off more than anyone right now. Does Stroud have a legit case for MVP, the answer is YES. The Bengals game proved that, but now he needs to win the games that they need to win (football teams with losing records such as the Cardinals, Titans, etc.)...we all know the old adage of "the best football teams show up in winter"...so we'll see if his play stays consistent....and if it does and those games translate to dubs then yes Stroud should be the MVP. Edit: One of the glaring issues Houston faces right now is on defense with subpar linebackers performances that have not been able to play coverage in the middle. Bouye gifted Houston the win by dropping the ball, however this does not take away from Stroud's performance because he was straight up balling. Houston Defense has improved but it has the same issues we've had since the B.O.B days
