Another benefit of using ComfyUI (I don't think you mentioned that) : when you relaunch a worklow after adjusting some parameters, it only recomputes the nodes that need to be updated. For example, if you change your sharpening node and relaunch the computation, all the nodes that are before won't be recomputed (unless you have a random seed or something like that). This is super smart and usefull !

Yup, and now even the non-pros with absolutely no background in art can generate vfx and art content. Eventually, vfx artists or normal artists won't be a thing anymore, everyone can basically and easily do what an artist does. And why people will pay artists to create content when there are billion of content out there created by basically anyone.

Yes, you do need a controlnet video. Controlnet is one of the best things about a1111 so if you want to convert people, you need to have a video showing how to use some of the most loved extensions in a1111. Mainly controlnet, but also consider going through a list of the top 20 or so extensions and let people know what will work and not work in comfyui or how to use an alternate method that accomplishes the same thing. Probably a custom node. Consider a 3rd video in the series about video manip/batching, assuming comfyui can do that.

I gave him an answer I thought I would find useful, but also that I felt his audience might as well. Since most of these videos tend to rehash already known things because new people pursuing the same knowledge I guess are always being added, I thought it prudent to suggest something that would be densely useful instead of the first 20% being on the same line of "here's how to install a1111" in a video about how to use like a single controlnet model. Use my brain? You clearly don't want to put in the time to make an actual comment. So maybe you should be being used here is your time and have it be somewhere else. @@HanSolocambo

Wish I had gotten this running months ago. So very powerful. You can automate every step of the most complex workflow and the setup is saved in the image. Genius. You can run a half dozen tabs with a different workflow in each tab. Genius. Very impressed. I can see that you just have to plug in one of those in to there and that's it. my question is if I plug in a Lora in there that is for SD1.5 but then the switch the checkpoint to an SDXL model how do the loras react to that do they error out?

I tried both, using exact same models, prompts, configs, and my results are ALWAYS better with A1111, I can't say why since everyone keep repeating "Comfy is better". Some people (Comfy users, of course) keep saying things like "this happens because you don't know how to use Comfy" and more and more I have the impression it's becoming something like Windows vs Linux - Linux users with the thing "I'm so fancy because I know how to use things you poor dumb simpletons can't". I know Comfy is more efficient for specific needs, like batch generation with different models at same time, and it's pretty cool to see it working, but I'm still to see the said amazing superiority of results with Comfy that some people claim to exist.

@mrdragonrider Жыл бұрын
In my view, ComfyUI is a part of problems that besets SD in general. I think there is some fundamental misunderstanding of what a node system is and does. Node systems that I am familiar with allow a way for users to work on the details to unleash creative freedom and complete control over how their creation will look and feel in detail. In other words, a node system is a front-end component that is integrated into other components of an app. For example, a typical node system will require at least 4 or more windows or viewports, one for basic parameter settings, one for files management, one for node work space, and one for viewport to check the nodework in progress. ComfyUI is basically a car that comes with only parts where you need to connect everything to make it work. It is lightweight only because it lacks seats, steering wheel, gear box, doors, seats, and windshield. That simply isn't the way a node system is supposed to function.
@DejayClayton Жыл бұрын
Yes, this is because the creator of ComfyUI created ComfyUI solely to learn how SD works. For such a task, being able to connect inputs and outputs is the most important aspect, and ComfyUI's node system handles this well. Of course, now that it's hugely popular, it could benefit from some of the same UI improvements that StableSwarmUI is introducing.
@Phezox Жыл бұрын
Exactly! and people who say that comfyui gives them more control are lying to themselves and think they are "cool" because they work on an unnecessarily complicated node system.

ComfyUI certainly has advantages but it also has disadvantages. Best is subjective and it all depends on what you want to use based on what you want from image generation. The Comfy UI is terrible IMO, it gets messy very quickly and even when it's organised, you're continually zooming and panning around the screen. Personally, A1111 does exactly what I want and in a UI I understand so for right now, I won't be jumping ship. Do you know if this can fix the "burning" issue with the last steps in A1111? And would you know what causing that in the first place, by chance?
@OlivioSarikas Жыл бұрын
not sure what you mean by "burning" issue. if the image looks strange this might be the wrong VAE, or CFG or Steps count. more CFG usually needs more steps.

what i want from comfy UI is that update the UI similar to Stability AI, not just full node spread all over the screen but with normal UI similar to A1111. so I can just load up the config nodes with normal UI so it's flexible when we using it, switching from different settings of nodes seamlessly. that what I wish in the future.

There is a version of ComfyUI called Stable Swarm which has an automatic 1111 style UI that is built out of the nodes.

@@tripleheadedmonkey6613 - I think it's not very stable yet :-) As far as I know it's still Alpha software and when I tried it on a Mac OS, there were quite a few problems.

Is there a discord community for Comfy? I am active in the Invoke community and it helps a lot trying to figure things out.

Hello my friend! Thanks for your work, it's always interesting to watch your tips and tricks! ComfyUI still the most dark horse for me, because i don't really enjoy to play with nodes in AI art workflow. I mean nodes is cool, i like to play with nodes in Blender to create interesting materials, but in art generation it looks to confusing for me, i want to do this much simpler without configuration on every single step. I like 1111 because it do most things automatically, i like to test models, and then analyze large table sheets of my prompts made by several models, look how every community SD model doing stuff, compare it and then choose some interesting results and make hires and upscale versions. I tried node workflows i InvokeAi, and have mixed impressions. In my opinion 1111 still most powerful tool. ComfyUI looks a little to complicated for me. But i think i can give it a shot if it is really so easy to install.
@carstenli Жыл бұрын
Just go ahead. After a week it's not complicated at all anymore, it's enjoyable and fun to play. You can do xy plots easily if you want to compare. There's a portable version of Comfy and you can set the folders with all your models (from A1111) in the configuration file which you can find in the main ComfyUI folder.

Note that efficiency nodes will no longer be supported after October 31st.
@Exechondrius Жыл бұрын
yeah, it took me 2 hours of lifetime to realise what the f happened with all these errors. now i have rebuilt everything again without the Efficiency Nodes. but that's why comfyui is satisfying, isn't it? :)
@alecubudulecu Жыл бұрын
@@Exechondrius I found someone forked the nodes and fixed the errors. Doubt they will support long term but it def works for now (and likely for the next few months). Just delete the folder and do a git clone of the forked one. I forgot what url it was but I tested last night and worked. Look in the efficiency nodes issues for an error “nonetype”. It’s one from 2-3 days ago. At the bottom a person commented they forked it.
