WOODEN10 - Sheffield United What a month! Bouncing back from defeats at Elland Road and the Riverside with 6 wins and 1 draw was not what we expected to happen! Heading into December top of the pile after starting on -2 was way above expectations for this season. Our home form is unbelievable atm, bringing the tally to eight straight wins at Bramall Lane, without conceding a single goal. The month started off with two very good away wins, one against Blackburn and the other at Bristol City, who were BOTH unbeaten at home at the time. Blackburn (A) was a very convincing performance, we controlled and dominated the game from start to finish. Whereas Bristol City (A) we didn't play great and were losing 1-0 until our late show with 18 year old Ryan One scoring the leveller and Burrows scoring a peach at the death, a sign of a team who never gives up and a sign of a team who are looking likely to head straight back up to the Premier League. Beating our bitter rivals came next in a very boring (THE USUAL) game against Wednesday in the Steel City Derby. One chance is all it took for Campbell to fire home the winner in front of the Kop end. That felt real good! Our only draw of the month came at Coventry (A), always a tough stadium to go to, especially when you go down to 10 men in the first half! Defended well and kept big chances down to a minimum for Coventry. Overall could be a very important point come the end of the season. Two home victories in 4 days capped our month off with a comfortable 3-0 win over Oxford United (could've easily had 6 or 7!) and a great win against a high flying Sunderland, in a game where Michael Cooper showed his class saving the penalty and claiming the player of the match award, bringing his clean sheet tally to 11 in just 16 games for the club! I'll be very surprised if we don't finish in the top 2. UTB!

Wooden Ten - Pompey are finding their feet and have learnt the hard way recently that if you are not 100% on your metal and concentrating in the Championship you will get punished and have games (and points) taken away from you like that. It was really hard watching the Blades play in the prem last season, so I am absolutely loving this season and great we are receiving plaudits for it, righty so to mention the players you did but our academy graduates have also stepped up so far this season, keep up the work

The "Boro usually concede a goal" issue is real. It's not a problem whilst the team is free-scoring at the other end. Apparently the players are "confident" they can get into the top 2, but Michael Carrick will always keep their feet on the ground. The Burnley (A) game on Friday is very important.

I think the c Clarets and Sheff Utd are the 2 teams that will finish 1st and second. I’m a Claret and we’re still in 3rd gear and players are now coming back. Given we will almost certainly spend 10 million on a striker in January, I think we’ll win the league. UTC

Can't rule out leeds united, by far the best squad and higher ceiling than both teams. I do think these three teams will get promoted this season and if they do then no disrespect to the other two leeds have a bigger pool and attractiveness do would have the best chance of staying up with the backing they have

@@jasondarling4070 I think you will find out squad value (I’m a Claret) is higher than yours. Also literally half our squad had been out with medium long term injuries and starting to return. I don’t think Leeds have more chance of staying in the Premier League than either Sheff Utd or us. You are to attack minded (we beat you on the counter) and Premier League Teams will pick you off.

What I mean is leeds are a massive club with a big ceiling and now they have proper owners they can go on and achieve great things again just they need to get out of this league. You don't get red bull pumping 60mil into you without being serious. Also the fifth richest man in the world 164billion is now interested in a stake in leeds united... the Premier league needs more northern clubs

The game against West Brom will be telling for Sheffield United. Without the two usual central defender starts if we can do well there that will speak volumes. I personally think we are a few points ahead of where we ought to be, but you take your luck when you get it. Over a season it evens out.

WOODEN10 - SWFC - conceded 75% of the month's goals in the same game! November started terribly, with a confusing headloss at home against Watford after being the better side for 45mins, and then was pretty solid from there on out. Won two games well and kept clean sheets, played well and should have beat Cardiff and gave our closest rivals a game away from home. We're very midtable at the minute, and hopefully looking up instead of down for the rest of the season!

Norwich were missing 4 or 5 key players through injury or suspension until recently, which is a couple too many, plus the remainder were half fit or very raw & inexperienced.. The last couple of matches are much more representative. We'll always concede goals with the risky way we play, but we score goals for fun - & we're still missing Sargent. We'll beat anyone in this division on our day. It's gonna be emotional.

Started on minus 2, now leading the league by plus 2. The League doesn't lie. Leeds will bottle it again and will get served up at Bramall lane. Sorry.....my mistake, Leeds (the best team in the Championship 🤣) won the league 2 weeks ago and Shef Wed (the biggest team in Championship 🤣) won it at the beginning of the season, so that puts us third in the salty delusional fans football league, however in reality we are top of the league.
