All this comes from Blizzard not addressing the mana regen issues with mages, especially Alliance as they don't have Shaman. Mages are are supposed to be Cannons and as such they have very small mana and health pools, but in P3 they are middle of the pack and so either need Spell Power increases or larger mana and health pools. Thing is, kill times on ST bosses have dropped off a cliff due to the nerfs, it's getting to the point that the dagger is pretty pointless.

So… I decided to get the scepter so I could do this run… got a group… we did the quest then decided “let’s kill princess for shits and giggles” we kill her… me and the other caster dps roll on it… the healing priest wins it… he is now on my ignore list and I curse his name for every time I kill this fatty and she doesn’t drop the dagger… moral is.. do this with friends or as stupid as it seems do a master looter situation when you get there… pugs suck and I hate them with all my being.
