Indian cultural identity starts with Upanishads, Ramayan, Mahabharat, Temples, Vedas, Shruti, Smriti etc., That is our identity. We must know that. And then we must learn how that identity got influenced by invading cultures. There must be no doubt in anybody's mind that we are all Sanatanis.

There is positive and negative aspect to everything. Cultural nationalism is good to galvanize people for a common goal but at the same time it has negative repercussions as this leads to huge divisions at later stage when demographically dominant groups start imposing things on minorities. Both these positives and negatives are clearly visible in India. To someone from demographically populous group this may not be visible but they will realize the negative aspects after few decades .

No it won't. Eastern civilization specifically India was never like that. Otherwise no diversity would hv existed for millenia. Additionally outsiders would not have come to India and stayed for more than 2k years. There is subtle but a huge difference between cultures that originated from abrahamic faiths and faiths that originated in India or China. Shintoism, Taoism, Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Sikhism are pluralistic and have inclusivity in their core philosophy unlike those which came from the west of India.
