First, we see that Christians regularly met on a certain fixed day for worship. Second, their worship was directed to Christ, demonstrating that they firmly believed in His divinity. Furthermore, one scholar interprets Pliny's statement that hymns were sung to Christ, "as to a god", as a reference to the rather distinctive fact that, "unlike other gods who were worshipped, Christ was a person who had lived on earth." If this interpretation is correct, Pliny understood that Christians were worshipping an actual historical person as God! Of course, this agrees perfectly with the New Testament doctrine that Jesus was both God and man. Nice, but these untrue combos (like your natsu inf combo) would never work on a good player. Why? Good players mash moves on untrue combos rather than try to block them. Blocking an untrue combo has a risk of getting guardbroken, giving the opponent another combo. The only time you should block an untrue combo is if it’s inevitable that you’ll get hit by it, and you have no moves. By blocking it, you reduce the damage that guardbroke you by 1/4. An example would be a lancer downslamming into vault. If you have no moves to eacape, block vault to reduce the damage by 1/4, since you’ll get hit by it anyways. If you were guardbreaking with your grounded downslam, that makes the combo untrue. That means I could just mash a hyperarmor move to escape.
