The only problem is that Path of Excrement doesn't hold a candle to Last Epoch. Not even a spark. It's like comparing a Michelin Star brownie to a dog turd. People are drawn to PoE because they want SO DESPERATELY to destroy Diablo's popularity over trivial garbage. D1 and D2 will NEVER be trumped by any game. But D3 and D4 are destroyed by NWN, BG, Dungeon Siege 1 & 2, Grim Dawn, and now, Last Epoch. Path of Excrement is equal to Sacred 1. That is where it stands. 1 3 million players. That's all it has. Pretty sad.

The cool...er bad thing... about Last Epoch is that despite having a mass of choices, it's fairly easy to put together a build. I made one without a guide. A Void Knight based around Void Cleave, which I made part fire damage, which also casts Abyssal Echoes when I used it that I also changed to fire. Oh and I made it so that my next Erasing Strike after Void Cleave is a crit... and made Void Crit into a teleport. And spread Time Rot around that I also made into fire with Anomaly. And when Void Cleave is on its short cooldown? I have a basic skill in Rive that doesn't suck. And there's also a ton of other builds I could have done with those same skills. Choices are a bad thing, right?

i've never played an arpg or diablo game until i bought diablo iv a few months ago. i'm enjoying it right now but i noticed it doesn't have much depth to it. the part about loot filters, managing an inventory of yellows after each dungeon run and only having 5 or 6 inventory tabs really hit home for me. i always pick up the loot so i can dismantle it for resources.....upgrading items and enchanting items is pretty expensive in this game. that being said, ive done a sorcerer and now i'm onto a barbarian. i'll try each character once just to see what it's like, but after that, i'm gonna give last epoch a shot. this seems like it checks all the boxes, and not in a unfulfilling grindy way either. thanks for the video!

I've played: Diablo 1: ~100 hours Diablo 2(LOD): ~2000 hours Diablo 3: ~250 hours Diablo 4: ~100 hours Path of Exile: ~400 hours Titan Quest 2: ~100 hours Torchlight 1: ~150 hours Torchlight 2: ~50 hours Wolcen: ~50 hours Last epoch: ~100 hours And amongst all these, I'd say that Last Epoch is the best feeling and rewarding ARPG currently on the market. I'm intentionally not playing it more, since I'm waiting for the 1.0 release, so I don't burn out prematurely on the game. (And most of my playtime was prior to a lot of the recent content updates, it has only gotten better)

You Last Epoch players think you want skill trees, but you really don't. Sarcasm aside, a very fun game that anyone who ever enjoyed a Diablo game (for me, it was 2) should play. The launch has been good... not great, not bad, just kind of annoying with long load times and matchmaking issues. It's gotten better over the course of the weekend, I give the developers props for continuously working on it, but it still needs improvements. The game itself is playable once you get in, so they got that part right, and we've been having fun for the first 4 days in spite of the hiccups. Was playing with a buddy, so offline wasn't an option for us, but available to everyone else.

all jokes aside, i really hope last epoch introduce some kind of mircro transactions to help funding the dev so they can constantly updateng the game in long run. I played the very early version of LE and fell in love instantly. It really has the potential to compete with poe in the arpg genre.

Quite honestly the sarcasm as the start of the video was so well acted that I didn't wanted to see the rest of the video. And boy the community of D4 players is JUST LIKE THAT... My only issue with epoch is the feedback when skills hit. Sound design and animations are key it makes u feel the blows. That is my only pet peeve with last epoch.

Hey, D4 player here. Just bought Last Epoch because it looked awesome, and your video was so obnoxiously preachy I’m glad I didn’t see it before I bought the game or I might have overlooked it. I love the fact that it has an actual Necromancer class, and if I had seen this video I might not have experienced the bliss of going through and enjoying a minion build that didn’t suck.
