Astrobot is an amazing game. Its what i always hoped Mario would be. I am glad, Mario has competition now. I mean Astrobot almost never reuses powerups. Mario wonder had 3 new powers and wonders were recycled at least 3 times each. Astrobot gave me so much fun i didn't have had since hollow knight.

So true, Mario is a classic, but it can get soooo repetitive. They really kept it all fresh in this game.

objectively speaking, astrobot is an PS5 ad considering how much the controller is featured in the game itself and all the exclusives cameos. it's fantastic that it's a fun game, but that it won GotY is a fail for everyone in the long haul. the awards have lost all credibility now - i used to take stock in what won, but how can i after this?

I don't think it should discredit the awards entirely, but I was definitely confused. Altogether, it is a great game, regardless.
