If you mean Micheal finding out who the traitor was, the effects was him being a lot more cautious about his high ranking men. For example, he didn’t trust a single person after his assassination attempt in GF2 (with the exception of his brother Tom.) But I’m not sure if that’s an effect from this.

Great video!! The ending I like for Fabrizio is the car explosion. Although Michael was not there, at the point of death, Fabrizio would have know it was Michael Corleone all along. Him going to kill Fabrizio would have been a mistake, like Gus Fring going to see Don Hector and we all know how that turned out. Michael sent the perfect revenge to a man he once trusted.

@jobin140 sad little child... did you live in Italy, or in Sicily for an extended period? Yes to both here, Did you know how they worked? Yes to that too. Not only Mafia, but also 'Ndrangheta and especially SCU... Your point? That was the way in the time Puzo set It at. It was not uncommon that family ties put the executioner and the designed man into a blood conundrum. Either the head of the family or a member of their inner circle was present to ensure family loyalty did not obscure Family loyalty. These were rules from the time Mafia was born, if you know the history you will know why. Seems that the one who "read too much" is not me this time 🤣

I personally like Fabrizio meeting his end the same way Apollonia met hers. Fabrizio could have had a cushy position within the Corleone family or at least his pizzeria free and clear. All he had to do was wait and keep Michael alive. But he was a flaw man and made his worst mistake; he betrayed Michael. Or should I say, the worst mistake was FAILING to end Michael. After he made his choice, his days were numbered. So poetically meeting the same end just fells the most right.

What I want to know, that I've never seen anyone discuss, is whether Kay knew about Apollonia. If she did, that changes everything we know about their relationship. If she knew, then she knew she was an also-ran, a lame replacement for the love of Michael's life. And, as any women knows who has had to deal with the beloved ex, the fact that you can never measure up poisons your relationship whether you want it to, or not.
@gkcfan61202 күн бұрын
There's a brief line in Godfather III where Kay mentions Michael's first marriage, though she doesn't mention Apollonia's name, and it's not revealed when she knew about the marriage.

I don’t know if things would have changed much if Appolonia had lived. Michael still would have taken over the family with Sonny dead and Fredo being incompetent. Maybe Michael would have Been a little less vengeful but he still probably would have eliminated the family’s enemies. Appolonia probably would have been a better mafia wife since as a Sicilian she would be more familiar with the lifestyle then Kay was.

And how would the scene play out. Michael just walks in and blasts Fabrizio? or there's a confrontation? Better to keep the scene as is and then cut it from the final edit.
