WHY DID I CHOOSE A HOBONICHI COUSIN AS MY MAIN PLANNER?

Hello everyone, today's video is all about what I love and what I do not like about this planner, and the ways I've made changes to make it work for me more functionally.
In this video, I share the features of a Hobonichi Cousin that made me choose it as my main planner. I speak about my views about its pros and cons. It is a functional planner that can also be used for decorative planning or bullet journaling.

One thing I do, as far as customizing, is just use a clear cover for the outside and keep paper/deco in that taped with rolled up washi tape! That way nothing is actually permanently glued down and I can switch my cover deco with the seasons. Great video!

This was so helpful. I’m considering switching from a blank notebook to a cousin for bullet journaling, and for the same reason you mentioned. Although I keep mine pretty minimalist and un-fancy, I’ve gotten tired of setting up the page every day after five years of using the method (I’m lazy, I know). I like the just-enough-pre-printed structure in the Cousin, and being able to get an entire year in one book. I was thinking of putting full-page blank stickers on the pages in the back so I could have extra notes pages.

I totally understand. I don't think you are lazy at all. It just takes too much time and effort to set up a spread. It all depends on your preferences too. Some like to spend time setting up spreads, while others don't. I never thought of using full page stickers. Might need to look into that.

You should try ackinbor because there are no colors, but it's a hobonichi dupe, and it's cheaper. The only downside that there are no weeks, but you could print and insert them before each Monday

Where do you buy a Kinbor from? Does it use TRP? I am looking for Hobonichi dupes but everything is so expensive when it uses TRP.

I'm thinking of getting the a5 day free because I end up missing entire months and feel anxious of seeing all the empty days. I used the bujo this year because nothing is really pre-made and there is less pressure but monthly spreads can be a pain to setup. Also having a day free a6 and/or weeks for on-the-go notes. I do write notes in my cellphone but they get forgotten pretty quickly.

I like your choices. I did not consider one for on the go as I worked from home for the most part of this year. I might look into it for next year. And I understand that you prefer the day free, especially if most of your spreads go blank. I had the same issue with the bullet journal. I love the idea of it but creating a spread took a lot of time and patience. I loved it while I used it but the monthly spreads were the worst. And neither am I any good with digital planning. I am a paper planner girl.
