Seagulls now have gender neutral pronouns?

@@mr.grumpy Those are the made-up pronouns you're talking about. "They" means multiple people, or an unknown hypothetical person. Steven is 1 bird @Antony, not two.
@AntonoirJacques Жыл бұрын
'They' is both a singular and plural pronoun and is regularly used in vernacular conversations. It is also known specifically as a gender-neutral third person pronoun. I wrote that, not with any gender politics in mind, but as a neutral way to say they are been chill AF.
@trumpatier Жыл бұрын
@@AntonoirJacques no. Correct grammar does not use 'they' as a singular pronoun when the person or thing is specific and not hypothetical/arbitrary. Gender ideology has bastardized English and insists that 'they' can be used for one specific person, which is incorrect.
