The kid he chose to spare was his brother's son, he is the one you see getting married. He sacrificed his own son instead to save his brother's son. That's why he is having flashbacks, because the little kid is grown now and getting married.

I don't know how much you understood the film, but when they asked them which guy do you choose? he chose his grandson and not his son. then in the marriage of his grandson he remembers the story of his son. this is the loyalty of the Albanians♥️

He didnt choose his son, he choose his brothers son because he was younger. And the wedding is when his brothers son gets older and gets married. So he has flashbacks from the past when this happened. This is a true story.

serbs deemed the KLA as terrorists but the Kosovo Liberation Army was the the liberational army against serb tyrrany. Also idk if you understood but he chose his nephew to live rather than his son and the wedding was of his nephew years later and he was recalling the horrible moments of the war when he passed the exact same roads and places

Hey bro listen, we lived in YOGUSLAVIA together no borders with serbia slovenia kroatia and some others, but we never ever were brothers with serbia(us i mean albanians from Kosova) and in the Milosevic regime ,milosevic massacred us killed us thousands of childs 3000+ killed so much innocent civils and made a genocide on us albanians we didnt have much power to protect our land we never figured out that some day will someone attack us we were peacful country and serbia attacked us and killed us for many years, so in video they hate Albanians they hate United States because USA was the only hope for Kosova to protect from serbia. Serbia commited most horibles crimes ever made on this planet we will never forget. Thanks United States of America for helping and protecting us ,may god bless USA and Kosova.
