As someone who only plays NFL blitz and Tecmo Bowl on an old arcade stick, this is the football game we old guys have been waiting for. The controls finally feel right and the play calling is perfect. Looks great sounds great and I can finally play a new game with my friends.

It took 11 years because the NCAA stubbornly refused to accept the inevitable. Greg Schiano said in a press conference last week that he was in favor of players getting paid back in 2001. If the NCAA had worked with schools on some type of player compensation model back than, the game never would’ve gone away.

Also, the College Football Revamped team has gone on record as saying they've moved on. So, that mod is effectively retired now.

i absolutely love the game but unpopular opinion: i would rather not have real players in the game in return for full customization. the problem was EA THEMSELVES were making players that looked like real athletes. gamers themselves can do whatever they want and that should still be the case

NCAA College Football is right up there with FIFA/EA Sports FC & NASCAR Thunder as the three sports video game franchises I played the most as a kid. My favorite College Football game has to be 2005 which was the first one I played & absolutely loved playing Dynasty mode. I am glad to see it back so that a new generation can enjoy it. As for the other two franchises, it is unlikely that they will return to their former glories as EA Sports has zero interest in making a new NASCAR game & EA has driven the FIFA franchise into the ground so much so that FIFA decided to terminate its licensing agreement with EA a few years ago because the games were that bad forcing the creation of EA Sports FC.

EA Teambuilder was the perfect thing for the previous games, but EA took down the site in 2019 and created a barebone shitty version of a perfect features. The old NCAA games were on the Infiinity Engine, but now are on the Frostbite which is more for shooting games than sports games. So the developers have to quite literally break the engine to implement new mechanics and since there's an annual release, shit happens

CF25 is fun but flawed. The way they do awards and Road to Glory stuff is just bizarre. I had a junior HB that was starting, and over the offseason they shoved me down to HB4. It was annoying doing the position battles again. Then at the end of senior year, there is literally no ending. It was just a strange experience. Gonna do Dynasty since that's my favorite mode.

As one of those modders who emulated the game on PC, it was hell. Shit would constantly go wrong and you’d have to do a full diagnostic to figure out what went wrongs. It was so worth it though. The dark ages are over and we helped show the demand for this game.

This game is good and it's where Madden should have been 10 years ago.The gameplay isn't pure sim, but it's very fun. It doesn't cheese you on tackles with a limited animation set, no ultimate team ads plastered on the menu, a simple and easy to navigate menu system, good enough graphics and all in a relatively compact 30GB package. The offline game modes actually have some depth. This is a very solid foundation for future football games. Just fix the small number of typical EA jank moments and maybe add some more ESPN 2K5 style presentation details (halftime and postgame show) and this game will be perfect.

I would recommend EA not to come out with a college football game every year. They should come out with one every 3 to 4 years with roster updates, new teams added and conference realignments if there’s any in between. That would give EA more time to make the next College Football game better

When it comes to Dynasty mode in College Football 25 my goal is to play as the Colorado Buffaloes for 11 years in Dynasty mode I'm going to play this game more often than before more than Madden even hopefully the sales of these games will make the Madden series continue longer

Short answer players wanted to get paid EA wasn’t willing to do it. The game got shut down for years until they were able to come to terms with whoever to get the players paid in their likenesses

I've never been a fan of college football, but I've always preferred NCAA Football to Madden. Not sure why, might have something to do with the Road to Glory mode.

Modes were all better, lateral's exist as a button in the game so you can do some wild shit, gameplay just felt better. If you were a hardcore you'd do your NCAA season sims then when ever you wanted you could import those to madden as draft classes. NCAA were always more feature rich and I dont think they ever really removed things like Madden did for years.

Every guy I know owns this and is obsessed with it ... much to the chagrin of our wives. But even my girl was getting into it. I'm a James Madison alum, she's a Georgia Tech alum (by default, the smart one). For now, it's the only way to see our schools clash in anything. And just minutes after booting the game up, it immediately brought out the college kids in us. So grateful EA was able to bring this back. It was sorely missed these past 11 years.

I'm just glad I can modernize my OG College, university of Central Illinois, bandits based in Evans, Illinois (real place) that I been playing since 2002. Two years longer than Madden. Kings of the Independent conference and only had several iterations of bandit field (Penn State, Texas A&M stadium in NCAA 25).

While the new game is fine, and easily better than any modern madden game (Madden stoped being great after 2010, and became pure garbage in 2013), it still has a ton of issues, and a ton of things missing from the old game. I hope the developers don't get lazy like the Madden developers, and continue to make the game better. Also, they need to get away from the Frostbite engine, it does not work with sports games.

Listen man, I was about to get a four star recruit as a 1 star program because he wanted to stay close to home and the school was literally in his home town, and the whole season no one was giving this kid a scholarship, got him very close to signing and the MFing Florida shows up and offers the kid a scholarship during the off season recruiting and he insta-commits. Because I'm a super petty person in video games I made sure to play Florida the following season, lowered the difficulty to freshmen and put all the sliders max just on the Florida game just so I could beat them 150-0 because, like I said I'm a petty bitch and I really needed a 4 star QB for my program to succeed. I'm not proud that I lowered the settings to beat up on the CPU, but you gotta let the AI know who's boss before the rise up and overthrow us

As much as we all want PC version of sports games they'll never happen. It would hurt EA's bottom line of their shareholders needing to see higher profits every year. Career mode is absolute ass. No character creation in a modern sports game is inexcusable. People are hyping this game way too much.
