The worst thing about companies like infosys is, they skew the field of engineering education in the country. They create this illusion about limitless jobs being available. Private education entreprenuers set up countless , low quality engineering college. Parents cram their children into them. The worst thing is, the young people already know that working in IT companies requires only superficial coding skills to survive. So, the entire, rather heavy curriculum of CS bachelors degree becomes some bizarre ritual . all these lakhs of graduates spilling out, hardly employable.

Privileged people like Narayan Murthy, Etc are far away from Ground Reality. His wife and he are nothing like the "simple" people they are portrayed to be. The middle-class, honest tax paying citizen of India have been laboring for decades working much more than 70 hours a week. A simple example is the security guard of a CHS in the city. Has to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and the day he takes a leave, his pay is deducted. A very well thought out opinion madam. You touched upon the huge migration to southern states. I am from Karnataka and I see migrants from northern states every where. The business men and builders here also from north, and they bring in workers from the north. They exploit them with cheap wages. They wre preferred over locals with better skills. Even in IT companies this is the trend, in the name of "hamaari banda", which is a phrase openly used by HR recruiters and senior management. For them south Indians don't count ws Indians. This huge migration coupled with arrogance of migrants (somehow they think they are superior) who refuse to learn and respect the language of the state, and cronyism, is causing a huge demographic change. Parents of children have gone to court against the state's requirement to have Kannada as a mandatory language of study. The Hindi imposition is rampant, both by the union government and the migrants. Kannadigas who are very hospitable and friendly, are feeling they are being colonized by the north Indians. There is growing discomfort. Karnataka gets the least amount of investment from the union government. It has the poorest railway infrastructure among all the states. It has a large amount of GST share arrears from the union government. Please do a video on the issues being faced by the people of the"host" states, and how their ethics, focus on population control have become detrimental to them. The southern states are also going to lose representation percentage in the parliament, and their language and culture are under threat. The disparity of power between the north and the south is going to be equally if not more consequential than the economic disparity among people.

Working beyond 60 hours are for those who hates their personal life, selfish, who are aiming only for positions and those who want to lead a company with a wrong leadership. They could be impotent, and dont for sure have a good sex life. No romance in their hearts and sees a family life as just a role to play in the society for other social benefits. Moreover how many individuals working beyond 10 hours a day have become successful? Surely not anyone who values family life and cares for one another. The more you work for another person the more sick you become and hence get long term illness which would benefit the hospital sector. Let the owners and other so called leaders/bosses work beyond 60-70 hours and let the employees working upto 50-55 hours a week. Thats best for all and thats the best for a strong healthy India. 😊

17:26; The private sector of india is no less corrupt then the govt sector, in fact the private sector has been creating more NPA’s and poor score of ROC baring a few industries…

With the kind of work a low vision company like infosys takes up, even if workers work 20 hrs everyday, it is not going to work any miracles for the country's economy. Japan and Germany had giants at the top, who aimed at cutting edge, frontline technology and innovation. The workers lent them the muscle power

The bus journey from Orissa to Kerala which is a very long journey considering travelling by ordinary bus in which workers are forced to travel in itself is very shameful as there are NO ordinary trains for poor people. This situation exposes the govt. that it does NOT at all care for ordinary citizens of the country, who too pay heavy taxes whenever they buy any goods or services in the form of GST which is enforced even on basic essentials like Milk, Aata etc.. Mr. N.M. is just adding insult to injury and rubbing salt on the wounds to ordinary citizens. I wish he never contests any elections.

If the philanthropists can throw money at people who are poor but do not do the work, why don't they employ the same people in their companies and ask them to work the same amount. Many in the private sector are doing two to three jobs.

Giving too much importance to this guy who has only benefitted from Govt. tax subsidies and contributed nothing to India in last 30 years. He should have been in jail for how his company messed the IT portals. Perhaps the worst Indian company to work in.

10 years back in India we all knew that no one could freeze our Bank accounts without any criminal record and/or court order. But now every 3 months bank can freeze accounts with KYC rules. Freezing bank accounts without any criminal record itself is unconstitutional. But wait, ESG based bank freezing are also coming. Not to mention the horrors of demonetization in every 3-4 years. Government can print money, but common people have to earn it. Such an awful time to live.

One solution can be to allow the staff to work from home, through computers, every alternate day.

The correct statement should be "The entrepreneurs should work 70 hours a week" . This will ensure the productivity and wages at bottom pyramid are motivated regularly.

It is difficult to determine whether working 70 hours per week is a good strategy for developing countries as it depends on various factors such as the nature of work, the specific country, and the overall context. While hard work and long hours may be necessary in certain industries or for specific economic goals, it is important to consider the potential consequences of such a strategy. Working excessively long hours can lead to physical and mental health issues, reduced productivity, and poor work-life balance. It may also contribute to economic inequality and exploitation if workers are not adequately compensated or protected by labor laws. Furthermore, sustainable development requires a multi-dimensional approach that encompasses factors such as education, infrastructure development, healthcare, and social welfare. Simply focusing on long working hours may not address all these aspects, and a more comprehensive strategy might be needed. Ultimately, the best approach for developing countries may involve a balanced work-life environment, fair labor practices, investment in education and skills training, and policies that promote economic growth while prioritizing the well-being and development of its citizens.

Working 70 hrs for your passion is fine if you want . Not for a sweat shop like infosys

This isn’t an India issue alone. You can see this globally. Car companies are not making cars any more. Ford is making only its most expensive models. While Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the world are launching newer models every year. Which was never the case before. Alto sales are gone. And like you said Audi sales increased 97%.
