Southgate is underrated. He was very close to winning the Euros, after all. This is the best ever result for England in the competition! I understand that English people are disappointed about not winning. But let's not be in denial: Southgate is one of the best managers England has ever had. Yeah, that's a bit of a give away 😂 Although the questioner is a bit misinformed as he didn't join Liverpool from school. He signed for Ayr United and as he mentioned on this episode, had the joy of playing away at places like Arbroath. I've been to Arbroath a couple of times as an away fan, and Stevie's not wrong. In the winter the place is absolutely freezing.

Frank is spot on. The Olympics shouldn't include sports like football, where clearly the pinnacle of achievement at an International level is to win the World Cup, followed by the European Championship (in the case of European nations). I could name every World Cup winner and European Championship winner since these tournaments began, but I couldn't tell you who the most recent Olympic football champions were, let alone reel off every winner. When it comes to athletics, while there are World Championships every 2 years, the pinnacle for any athlete is still to win Olympic gold. When Usain Bolt missed out on a World Championship gold medal because of a false start, does anyone think he would swap any of his Olympic golds to have won that race?

Me personally, I would never decline PSG over my national team any day of the week. I mean just think about it; a winning culture? A winning foundation? A team who is expanding on the ground work given to them? This is PSG, a team that will defy the odds against them for UCL.
