Yep, we got Superman 3 left along with Supergirl and Superman Returns after, and then both versions of Justice League.

Fun fact, not only was the Saiyan Saga based on this movie, but Saiyan Saga Vegeta was also based on this version of the Zod, as Superman 2 was very big in Japan.

- In the Donner cut Lois finds out Clark is Superman by shooting him and Superman sends Zod and his crew back to the Phantom Zone instead of killing them. - The reason Supes gives up his power is cause he wanted to live a normal life with Lois and not have his time from her taken whenever the world is in trouble. Like how Spider-man has troubles balancing his hero life and regular one

The Donner Cut is superior. I'm sorry if I sound like a cinema snob for saying that but, it's true. 😁

Brando. As in Marlon Brando. Probably one of the most famous drama actors of all time. He was known for his roles in Apocalypse Now, The Island of Dr. Moreau, and of course playing the GodFather in the movie GodFather.

Yoko Ono is a singer who was married to the late John Lennon who was a member of the Beatles, because the Beatles broke up around the same time Yoko and John got married, she got blamed for being the reason the Beatles broke up.

-Doug did skits based on this version of Zod and this was back when Doug had hair and look similar to him. You saw him in Man of Steel and "Zod" was upset they rebooted his character in that movie. -He did a Top 11 dumbest Superman moments and this was done before any Superman review was made. This was made before the DCEU was made. Nowdays, he would include his dad saying let the kids die or Bats and Supes going from enemies to best buds because their moms has the same name. -I seen people used Zod's "death" in this movie for arguments related to how Zod died in Man of Steel with the necksnap. Superman and Lois threw Zod and the gang into bottomless pits with big smiles on their faces. However, a deleted scene showed them alive and well after falling and getting imprisoned. So it wasn't intended for Supes to openly kill with a big smile on his face.

19:45 Remember, this was still before _Crisis on Infinite Earths_ streamlined the DC universe, so Superman's powers didn't really come from the sun and he could basically do whatever the plot needed him to do. And his "extra powers" in this era get pretty nuts. His most notorious is probably spawning a miniature clone of himself via rainbows shot from his fingertips. Thankfully comic writers eventually realized how stupid this resolution was and just had Lois and Clark being a couple with him still having his powers, learning to live their lives around Superman since it's what made Lois fall in love in the first place. As for Zod, this was THE defining appearance for him. Previously he was just your run-of-the-mill wannabe dictator in both looks and personality, but this iteration became so popular, almost every adaptation of Dru-Zod from this point on would pay homage to Terrence Stamp's appearance and mannerisms, _especially_ the iconic goatee.

For context on why Superman would get rid of his powers to be with lois is that clark is basically immortal so he would out live lois. That is the only explanation I could think of for his choice.

2:22 One if the most impressive aspects when filming the Lord of the Rings movies is that they were filming all three movies in New Zealand at the same time. It’s really impressive when film studios do that.

You know whats crazy? They always take the Lois making Clark reveal he's Superman in auch extreme ways. She put herself in great danger and yet she doesn't just say she knows but then says she'll wait. Always gotta pick the most insane way.

This is basically the movie where Superman peeked. It’s definitely the best out of all of the Superman movies. Even HISHE made a joke about it and said “You haven’t been a great movie since 1980.”

I really wish we could get a version of this movie where the only addition is that Marlon Brando scene. It would have made a genuinely solid sequel even better as it provides actual consequences to Clark giving up his powers and then taking them back about a day later Given how much of the previous movie was about him discovering his alien heritage, losing the only connection he has to his biological father to save the day actually hits hard.

Never thought that Superman 2 was the First Superhero Movie Sequel, the Casting and Special Effects were Great for the 80s, the Villains were Great, and it’s a Classic for Generations to Come, the Only Issues I have for the Movie are Clark giving Up his Powers and Erasing Lois’ Memories for no Good Reason like Superman can’t have Happiness, even Robot Chicken made Fun of the Erasing Kiss, anyway a Solid Sequel and all that’s left is Superman 3, Returns, Justice League, and the Snyder Cut.

The 150th reaction is coming soon. I would recommend reacting to his very first two reviews: "Transformers" "Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue" They're both short, and u can use it as an opportunity to watch his other Transformers reviews.

I honestly don’t like the fact that Lois in some adaptations has to throw herself off the falls or a building when she wants Superman’s attention or to prove who he is. It makes her look kind of insane. It doesn’t matter how sure she is that she is safe doing it like in the new series or even back then, there is something wrong with you if just go for it so casually.
