Why Did The Orcs Betray & Kill Adar In Rings Of Power Season 2 Finale?

In the finale of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Ahdar faced betrayal from the Orc children he cared for when they chose to align themselves with Sauron. Ahdar believed that launching an attack on this city was crucial to ensure Sauron's defeat, convinced that his Orc children wouldn’t be safe until the Dark Lord was eliminated. The Orcs' betrayal had been building throughout season 2 of Rings of Power. In the first season, Ahdar caused Mount Doom to erupt, creating a dark refuge in Mordor for the Orcs, who couldn’t endure direct sunlight. This area became their new home, and the Orcs were ready to thrive there. However, Ahdar had a nagging suspicion that Sauron-whom he and the Orcs had killed long ago-wasn’t truly gone for good. To address this, he formulated a plan to track down the Dark Lord. Even though Ahdar believed he was acting in the Orcs' best interests, they weren’t fully on board with his ambitious ideas.
