So beautiful, I’m drawn to the old chorus this morning (and came across this) as I yet again I fork out precious resources for more medication that I know doesn’t work and only causes side effects….. “I want to touch You Jesus! Really touch You and receive the Divine Exchange of what You paid so dearly for- thank You” Thank you 😊

Just a different take... And another article. And a reminder, the story was written in GREEK, not Hebrew. This is about the story of the woman who touched the hem of Jesus' robe, among many doing the same in a crowd of desperate folks needing healing. Kind of like folks today needing healthcare, having no "for-profit" insurance that is expensive, many working at poverty wages provided no health coverage, while medicare-for-all struggles on, which would save trillions in the current system of ads & paperwork, etcetcetc. I knew this story, about the woman touching the hem of his garment, but didn't remember her problem was 12 years of constant vaginal bleeding, really sick! But the worst part was in the society, based on laws in the Old Testament, she was filth! Worse than thieves, murderers, head-bangers, politicians, she was FILTH Ostracized like a leper, unclean before Yaway. But boldly, she didn't just pray for help; she acted. The lowest of the low, touched the hem of a garment bravely, believing, knowing herself to be dirt, in confidence, she reached out anyway. And it's said Jesus felt it, and stopped, of all those desperately grabbing, it was she most afraid most in despair, labelled & shunned, acting in the sheer last hope... A bleeding woman. Then it goes on to explore the other women in the life of this "son of man", and the notion in Galatians, of a world of "equals". Of equals. Amazing. A bleeding woman and her touch of a hem. It's a beautiful story, yet intimately vivid. Sometimes I think preachers just get it all wrong, totally wrong...

And is much more than a story of a woman with a blood issue. Also, those who studied more than i had, are saying that the New Tratament as well was not originally written in greek but in Aramaic or on hebrew.
