Codfish going easy the first round was strategic. He was playing dirty. And smart. He brought the crowd energy down. Leaving Barack to have to work extra hard to bring it back up which really happened more toward the end of his second round. Leaving the crowd extra hype for Codfish’s last round and an easy swipe if he killed it. And he did

Also because he gave off a "more singer / house/dance / relies on routines" kinda overall vibe intentionally (only really matters if its first time you see him ofc) in the first round, which was confusing in a beatbox battle scenario. I personally think maybe Bataco thought he could win it with a smooth round 2 since Cod's 1st round was more groovy and laid back, rather than the more aggressive usual style in battles. So Bataco brings great heat towards the end of 2nd round, showing consistency and skill ofc, but perhaps went too easy of Cod thinking the battle was won. Whats satisfying is the "Oh you wanna battle? -" bit as he reveals in true form that he, aswell as singing very well and doing groovy club beats, Cod rips a** in a beatbox battle, but concealed it throughout to get a well deserved W. Respect to both BBXrs and excuse the ramble.
