You're making it sound like the Chinese battery companies are investing in Morocco just because of the raw materials (lithium and phosphate products) yet you fail to mention that Morocco is Africa's largest car manufacturer/exporter. As a matter of fact, Morocco exports more cars to Europe than China itself! This is not a question regarding raw materials, but a partnership with the view of benifitting from Morocco's extensive car manufactoring ecosystem and free trade agreements that Morocco has with the EU, USA, and Gulf countries.
