that's....what they asked. they didn't ask why she decided to foster a white child, they asked why she decided to adopt him. 🤷🏾‍♀ personally, despite strong feelings, about transracial adoption, i'm actually happy she adopted him. + i'm happy for him. 🤓 i just also think it's a valid question based on statistics, knowledge about the system, + how rare of an occurrence it is. 🤷🏾‍♀

Correct. People are Not asking or doing research as to why 800 thousands+ kids are missing a year😢 in America ( other countries as well could be more😢) some of the kids that do go missing are directly from the "system". People WILL learn more😢.

@@hellaSwankkyToo The question is based upon an assumption. The assumption that most people adopt only though an agency. Therefore, they go to a agency and pick a child to adopt. Meanwhile, that is not the only way people end up adopting. As in this case some children are adopted from Foster care. If the person asking knows about foster care then they asked the wrong question.

"A good ol' little white baby"❤😂 I'm so happy that his family chose you! In this world that we live in, a set of white parents could over look a black family SIMPLY because they look different (or even being raised with hate in their heart) but this family chose to put their trust in the family that was best suited to LOVE the child properly, despite looking different. They also inadvertently taught the child a very important life lesson that LOVE CAN BE ANY COLOR AND FAMILY CAN BE ANY COLOR. And that we don't discriminate because of skin color but to look at people's character and strengths before xing them off the list. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I am so happy to see your family. I am so happy that you're putting this energy into the world. I believe You are helping create a better narrative for black families in America.

As the mother of children of all skin colors..3 bios, 16 adopted, I can attest.. we don't choose them. God chooses. God sends the children to the parents he chooses because it's a perfect fit. You cant fight it. Children are not a color. As parents, we stop seeing color. We just see our babies. We tend to not notice, until others point it out. He is a beautiful little boy, filled with love and joy. God chose his family very well. ❤

Agreed. I know it's weird, because I wouldn't have thought it when we've adopted, but sometimes I look in the mirror, and I'm like, oh that's right, I'm white. All my kids are various shades of brown and I just get used to that! I don't think we look strange as a family until we're in public and get noticed more, but it's all good because it gives us an opportunity to show humans are humans, not our melanin content.

@@allthatsheiz Well, it was easy until my husband died, when the youngest was 4 and the oldest was 12. Having all boys, I was stressed with worry. I called in reinforcements. My husbands best friends, my brothers, a couple uncles, and a few men from the church, and a few men I worked with at my job. All good family men, and great examples, that I wanted my sons to grow up to be like. I also had cousins, and some older nieces and nephews that I hired to babysit when needed. It takes a village. I'm so grateful my village. ❤❤❤

Don't let the narrow minded and toxic people get to you. The way I see it, there are thousands of parents (black, white, asian, ect) --- who treat their biological children like crap. 'Regular' families who end up not talking to each other anymore. You are doing your thing, and even if your boys skincolour may cause more issues for you and him - doesn't matter. There are always problems for everyone in this world, and you are strong enough to tackle them. Really inspiring.

He was truly born to be yours, what an honor and what a blessing! I guarantee not a day goes by where the wee lad knows anything but love - just as it should be! You were truly his lifesaver and destined to be his momma! And BTW growing up I LOVED dinosaurs- I actually bought the series off of Amazon prime video for my girls when they were younger that show and ALF - oh and Fraggle Rock lol 😂 lord I’m such a dork and feel so old !! But I loved those shows as a little girl and thought mine would too and they did! Ahhh if you want to watch a gem my girls loved when they were little that we grew to love after watching it a hundred times is “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” it’s a hoot and half, actually have it recorded on our DVR for our granddaughter now!
