Amazing theory! I think this is actually what happened. My other linguistic theory is that humans and merfolk speak the same language but write differently on paper. I don't think merpeople write that much at all, tbh, since they are underwater... But your theory is better, becaue no being to communicate with the prince was the whole point of the voice removal procedure

Isso faz-me lembrar uma conversa que tive uma vez com o ChatGPT sobre o tema "Porque é que na saga 'Terminator', SKYNET não decide mudar de estratégia e tenta salvar a humanidade em vez de a eliminar?". A conclusão a que se chegou é que o público simplesmente não iria ver um filme em que os humanos e as máquinas tornam-se amiguinhos, ou seja, o motivo é DINHEIRO. Se a Ariel consegui-se comunicar com o Eric, mesmo através de charadas (o que seria de partir a rir), o filme só demorava p'rai meia hora e já não rendia. O capitalismo no seu melhor. P.S.: Só espero que quem estiver a ler isto não pense que eu sou um comunista.

No fundo toda a gente sabe a real resposta, como é óbvio 😂 Se tudo fizesse sentido nos filmes, especialmente quando falamos de filmes animados de fantasia, não seria tão interessante, pois não? Mas não é esse o objetivo aqui. Claro que eu podia ter dito nesta teoria que a resposta é "DINHEIRO", mas que piada teria isso? Não é melhor usar a imaginação? Não é mais giro ser-se criativo?... Que o capitalismo governa a sociedade já nós sabemos. Mas o objetivo aqui é estimular a imaginação e criatividade. É entreter e trazer um pouco de alegria às pessoas. Por isso tenta ver este vídeo com esse espírito 😉
