The military commanders that successfully led his army against the Mongols include Zafar Khan, Ulugh Khan, and his slave-general Malik Kafur.

How so? it's not like he had any barrier from the north west of India, he had a lot of territory in the Middle East like the entire Persian Empire was under him and the Mughals came from there so it's ridiculous to say that Himalayas was a barrier for him in any way in fact he was smart enough to know where to attack so no way he never thought about conquering, we cannot totally narrow down the reasons why he never invaded.
