Titus 2:13 is not a rapture. It's his coming at the last Trump. At the end of the age. I used to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. When I was younger. But God leads us into all Truth. But in his time, when we are able to receive it.

It’s a spiritual kingdom. The Pharisees looked for signs and wonders. It was a New Covenant, better than the Old Covenant- Hebrews 8. Yahweh always used other nations to judge nations. All is fulfilled. 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. (Isaiah 9:6, ESV)

The abomination of desolation (Jerusalem surrounded by armies) of Daniel 9 occurred in 70 A.D., but the gathering of the saints did not. Paul made very clear that, concerning the coming of Christ to gather the saints, that day would not occur until the apostasy would happen and the man of sin would be revealed. The man of sin was not revealed to any widespread degree until the Reformation in the 1500-1600s. The tribulation which Jesus indicated would begin by the time of the siege of Jerusalem is still ongoing now, the antichrist played a huge part in that during the middle ages, and Jesus said he would return immediately after the tribulation of those days. The tribulation will end at the 6th seal.

It didn’t occur during that time. It occurred on their last day, during their last Yom Teruah. One thing you are good at, is ignoring your comments that has a silver plate of truth. Their last Yom Teruah occurred just a few years after the temple was destroyed, during their gathering.

Hi again Pastor Jim. I'm tracking. You bring a genuine smile to my face. Oh and BTW, perhaps ......find Faith on the 'Earth' is a reference to Jerusalem and Judea and the 'Land' (Earth) even maybe the Oikumene where ever the Synagogues were of Judaism and perhaps not the whole planet??? Anyways, the Christians are recorded by Josephus as none being left in Jerusalem and the Land. They went to Pella we hear. Josephus or Tacitus or Suetonius to my knowledge, did not record a disappearance of Christians. Remember, there we not a few prominent believers and even in Caesars household. Love your humility and wittiness and genuine brotherly love. Love br. David - Canada. But, like you say, one and even me, can be wrong. Let's keep going. ;-)

I feel badly for this man. One literally has to torture scripture to make it support this erroneous doctrine. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18 clearly states beyond argument that the resurrection of true Christians that died and were in the grave would take place. Just a moment before those who believe and remain on Earth would be raptured up to meet Christ & the resurrected saints in the air. So if what this man says was true, the resurrection of the Dead believers would have to have happened just a moment before this supposed Rapture back in 64 ad. Of course it didn't. If it did then there would have to be another Resurrection for the dead in Christ that died after AD 64. To believe what this man is saying you have to disbelieve the Bible.

Luke 21:20-22 clearly states, beyond argument, that “ALL THINGS WRITTEN” (includes the resurrection) would take place at the time that Jerusalem was surrounded by armies. Did that first century generation, that Jesus spoke these words to, see Jerusalem surrounded by Roman armies 40 years later, and did that end with the fall of Jerusalem and the Temple? Indeed. Therefore, “ALL THINGS WRITTEN” have already been fulfilled. Even if that contradicts your 21st century understanding of the nature of the resurrection.

Brother Please, less speculation and more facts. I had to stop your Chaos. If you are trying to say what I think you are saying, it is very simple. The first person you will see when you die is Jesus. Unless you are headed south. The point of meeting Jesus in the clouds is simple, Jesus will be lifting us up above the earth at our death. Jesus second coming has not happened yet...

You have to read the bible in context though. Everybody from Daniel to Jesus to the Apostles and Paul said He was coming back to judge Jerusalem, destroy the temple, etc. Every one of them said soon. So in reality, you make the bible lie by saying He's still coming back. Every single time statement says that generation was getting the judgement day. Scripture does not say what you think it does. Read some NT epistles, they were written to specific groups of people, not us, warning them about the impending doom. You can't just make a fake religion by reading scripture out of context. Oh by the way, Gentiles is mostly referring to the Northern Kingdom of Israel in the NT.

Does the rapture have to be physical - bodily? Maybe it's the soul that is raptured and the body simply dies. "Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God." And of course many Christians did 'die' during the Roman persecutions - including Paul who "desired to depart and be with Christ."

Preterism makes mincemeat of Biblical hermeneutics. You have to use a COMPLETELY different hermeneutic on prophecy than you use for the rest of scripture. No. Jesus did not "come again" in the Roman destruction of Israel. Just think about the absurdity of saying that in light of what the Bible says about what comes after the Lord's coming. How is the world as we know it now in ANY WAY a picture of the Millennium?
@ModernMozart11042 күн бұрын
The "coming" of the Lord was literally beleived to be God's visitation of judgement generally through the means of others nations. I can't think of an OT prophecy that doesn't corroborate this...

@@ModernMozart1104a more balanced perspective is given by Peter, who writes, “but do not ignore this one fact , beloved, that with the lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day, but according to his promise we wait for a new heavens and new earth in which righteousness dwells, therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace” 2 Peter 3:8-14.
