WHY DIDN'T I DO THIS BEFORE !!! Brilliant IDEA that WILL HELP you
With some pieces of wood, a hinge and a rubber you can create an excellent tool for your work in wood, especially in carpentry and in particular in the adjustments of doors or windows which serves perfectly to hold and work without the worry of being fall.
This tool in turn allows you to easily fit the pieces since the angle of the support is obtuse and allows the piece to be placed easily.
You will only occupy a drill, saw and a few hand tools.

Maybe if you’re a hobbyist. Any professional woodworker will tell you they’ll make a dozen more scraps just like it before finding a use for the first one. Every jig or fixture I make gets dated. If it hasn’t been used again in 6-12 months, it goes in the wood stove or the dumpster.

Patent that and make them I've worked in carpentry shops my whole life it definitely would have made my life easier when I was pushing out hundreds of custom hard wood doors a week and would be great for on site instillation as well

Nice. We’ve used a quick jig like this. Usually a piece of 5/8 or 1/2” ply as kind of a spring board with a few triangles to hold the door when we router hinges or plane the edge on site. I’m gonna make a few of these. They fold up more compact and look like they work great.

Not sure why this is so amazing... its definitely a good idea, but ... how often am i setting a door on its side?! I mean... maybe to work on its hinges... Dont get me wrong, its a GREAT idea... but not everyone needs a door stander upper lol

Glad I skipped to the end so I could use that time reading useless comments on a complex solution for a simple problem. I especially like the idea of “spacers” so u can work on a different thicknesses of wood 1 inch off the floor. Thats brilliant! That jig could be made as a single unit out of a couple of 2x4’s in under 5 minutes and be far stronger and more stable.
