The Hadees quoted simply talks about the Prophet's character which is akin to Quran.This is true as much as it relates to the Do's and Don'ts and prescriptive aspects contained in Quran.How about those verses which carry scientific import or talk about eschatological aspects ;they do need interpretation and certainly cannot be known through character of the Prophet.

I think that the 2nd last ayah of surah Kahf explains this pretty well it's basically "say, if the oceans were ink for the words of my lord, the oceans would surely exhaust (its supply) before the words of my lord would exhaust even if we brought with it another like it as supplement." Furthermore, Qur'an isn't really hard to understand even with no tafseer it's just that the tafseer prevent misinterpretations of the Qur'an and gives context for the verses etc.

This is the question I could never get the answer to, even after asking in muslim forums. I was thinking about this today and subhan Allah this video showed up! This now finally makes sense to me, really jazakum Allah khayr for this. The question I had in my mind was why did Ibn abbas differ with Aisha for example concerning if the Prophet (saw) saw Allah or not during Al Isra if the Prophet explained and taught all of them. And why do sahaba differ on what al dukhan is in surat Al dukhan? Turns out the Prophet (saw) didn’t interpret all of the Quran for them (I know there are some ahadith where he did interpret some verses). And thinking of the aya of surat Ali Imran, those who are sincere will be guided anyways because the fundamentals are clear. This video helps me understand the following Aal-e-Imran 3:7 هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِنۡهُ ءَايَٰتٌ مُّحۡكَمَٰتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَٰبِهَٰتٌۖ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمۡ زَيۡغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَٰبَهَ مِنۡهُ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ وَٱبۡتِغَآءَ تَأۡوِيلِهِۦۗ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ تَأۡوِيلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۗ وَٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ فِى ٱلۡعِلۡمِ يَقُولُونَ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ كُلٌّ مِّنۡ عِندِ رَبِّنَاۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّآ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah . But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.

Deeds that reward a person equal to hajj if he does them correctly and sincerly 1. Perform Ablution properly and go for each obligatory salat in Masjid 2. After praying salat Fajr in congregation, then wait (15-20 minutes) till after sunrise to perform two superogratory rakat 3. Perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan is equal to Hajj 4. Going to Masjid to learn/teach beneficial knowledge 5. I'm a theist for now but not a muslim (yet?) I0m very interested in Islam and i share 100% of Islam's principles. I'm trying to approach the Qur'an in the best way possible but there is a question that's puzzling me and can't find a reasonable answer by myself. I hope some brothers here can give my some insight. My question is: why did Allah revealed the Qur'an specifically in arabic? The vast majority of people in the world does not speak arabic. Aren't we all children of Allah? Why I didn't deserve to fully understand the Qur'an and Tafsir? Why dind't Allah speak to all of us, in our hearts, instead of revealing the Truth only to arabic-speaking people? Besides those answers upon, there is 2 another reasons comes up to my mind: 1- Arabic is pretty good at specifying situations clearly. For example: In turkish we have singular form for single objects. And plural form for 2 and more objects. But in arabic there is three different forms of quantity. Singular, double and plural. And examples like this can be increased. For example there is a word in a verse describing a time range which is like 3-10 years in one word. We don't have those words in Turkish, not sure about Italian. 2- When God sent Moses to Pharaoh and Egypt, he gave him the miracle of staff. Because those people were known for their magicians and ahead of magic. So when a prophet sent, he performs miracles of those peoples proffession to show them he is legitimaly the messenger of the Allah. For example Jesus was sent to people who have medicine ahead of rest of the world; he cured the blind and bring the dead back with the permission of Allah. Lets think about a prophet sent to an illiterate society and he is solving hardest math questions ever. That would prove nothing because those people has no clue about what is math. So last peophet Muhammad sent to a society who excel at artistic language and insane poetry. Old arabs were always learning poems, reserving the history and family trees etc. with that art. They also used it in wars against their rivals etc. So because of that, they were so ahead of the world in the matter of language, elegant poems and literature. So Allah sent Qur'an in a pure Arabic form. Challanging best of the best pagan poets of those days. None could ever get closer to the depth of the Qur'an. Also another thing is since it is the last book and last prophet, it is a continious miracle that proves Muhammad was the messenger of God. Because lets say Moses' people could see him split the sea and believe in his words. But we can no more see Muhammad pbuh on this words, we can only confirm his claims by looking the book God sent to him. And as a turkish, I also feel the same sadness about not being able to read it in my mother tongue, but it the end we can simply learn arabic if we study. Today we have all the resources to achieve that. Hope this could be an answer, sincerely.

And about the fairness part; Allah not allowing us to read the Qur'an in our mother tongue seems like a (-) at first. But imagine if we study Arabic and learn it, then everytime we read Qur'an, I believe Allah would reward us accordingly for our efforts. Because Allah doesn't do injustice. Allah HAD to reveal it in arabic, because the people he was revealing the message to were arab. Muhammad was an arab. So it makes no sense to reveal something to them which they cannot understand, imagine or comprehend. The jews and the christians of that time also spoke arabic. Its irrelevent because today people learn multiple languages. So learn arabic. Its a deep language and one of the hardest to learn. If you don’t want to make the effort to learn it, then make sure you get a translation from a well respected source. To get it as accurate as is humanely possible. I have one by mufti taqi uthmani. In our hearts everyone knows there there is only ONE GOD.

Those with deviant hearts follow the elusive verses seeking ˹to spread˺ doubt through their ˹false˺ interpretations-but none grasps their ˹full˺ meaning except Allah. As for those well-grounded in knowledge, they say, “We believe in this ˹Quran˺-it is all from our Lord.” But none will be mindful ˹of this˺ except people of reason. - Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

There is an older tafsir than that of Ibn Majah and al-Tabari, the tafsir of Sufyan al-Thawri, which is in the first century after the Hijra , Only because the interpretation was not compiled, and because its students were not keen on memorizing it, did this interpretation not become famous.
